Outside Space

Step through the private gate into the courtyard patio, an idyllic spot for alfresco dining on warm evenings or a quiet morning coffee before wandering down to the beach.

Ground Floor

Enter through the front door into a welcoming porch. The perfect space for storing coats, walking boots and beach gear after a day exploring the coast.

Living Room

The cosy living room invites you to unwind. Sink into the soft sofas, light the woodburning stove and enjoy a peaceful evening curled up in front of the TV after a bracing beach walk.

Kitchen

The charming galley kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, oven, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge. A great place for preparing a meal using fantastic local produce, available only steps away on the High Street.

Dining Room

Flooded with natural light from large windows and patio doors, the dining room offers seating for up to six, making it a wonderful space for family dinners, leisurely breakfasts, or competitive board‑game nights. The doors open directly onto the courtyard, blending indoor and outdoor living.

Bedroom One (Ground Floor)

Down a single step from the dining room, you will find a soft king size bed. This cozy suite includes its own private ensuite with a spacious shower. Ideal for guests seeking a little extra privacy.

First Floor

Please note: as a characterful period home, the staircase from the living room is slightly steep.

Family Bathroom

At the end of the landing, you’ll find a wonderful bathroom complete with a classic claw foot tub and handheld shower.

Bedroom Two

A serene double bedroom sits next along the hallway – an inviting space for children, friends or additional guests.

Study

The final room on this floor is a peaceful study, furnished with a small desk. Whether you’re diving into a good book or keeping up with emails, this room offers a quiet retreat. From here, steps lead up to the master bedroom.

Second Floor

Master Bedroom

Ascend the steps into a beautiful, tucked away master suite, set beneath low, sloped ceilings that give the room a warm, intimate feel. The beams to one side add a rustic charm, highlighting the homes history. A King Bed sits at the heart of the space, paired with soft lighting and gentle tones create a serene, calming atmosphere. A small dressing table completes the master bedroom.

Step beyond the front door and you’ll find Aldeburgh’s independent shops, galleries and well-regarded eateries all within walking distance, along with the famous shingle beach and scenic coastal paths. Both the village pub and the fish and chip shop are just a short stroll from the property. The surrounding area is a joy to explore. Thorpeness is easily reached for waterside walks around the Meare, while Saxmundham offers a traditional market-town feel and good rail links for car-free days out. Nature lovers will enjoy the nearby RSPB reserves, where birdwatching is particularly rewarding throughout the year. The Nutshell is a relaxed coastal retreat, perfectly placed for enjoying the simple pleasures of Suffolk’s shoreline.

The popular, vibrant seaside town of Aldeburgh is famous for its culture, traditional feel and one of the best fish and chip shops in the country! Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings are home to one of the world’s greatest music festivals and has been named as one of the top 50 places to live in Britain. Crag Path runs along the seafront dividing the beautiful pebbly beach from the unspoilt pastel-coloured seafront properties and the town. The beach is a popular place for groups and couples to enjoy the wonderful fish and chips throughout the summer months. The town is steeped in history and has become a wonderful town for shopping with a good mixture of independent and chain stores to enjoy. The town also offers a good selection of pubs and restaurants or why not buy some freshly caught fish from the huts on the seafront and cook up your own feast at home. For those wishing for a more action-packed holiday there is excellent walking, cycling, sailing and golf at Aldeburgh. Growing in popularity you will want to return to Aldeburgh again and again!
