The Moorings in Orford is a quaint cottage praised for its excellent location and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the proximity to local amenities and the charm of the area. While some guests found the property to be well-equipped and spotlessly clean, others noted areas for improvement in cleanliness and maintenance. The property's character and the inclusion of festive touches were mentioned positively, though the level of upkeep received mixed reviews.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage spotless and well-equipped, while others reported it to be grubby and in need of a more thorough cleaning, particularly in the kitchen area.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to village amenities, dog walks, and a nearby pub, making it an ideal spot for guests looking to enjoy Orford.
The cottage is described as cosy and comfy, suitable for small families or couples. However, some guests found the property too small for four people and noted issues with furniture and space for taller individuals.
Facilities and maintenance received critical feedback, with guests pointing out the need for refurbishment, concerns over safety with the TV mounting and log burner, and inaccuracies in the property description.
Guests appreciated the thoughtful gestures of chocolates and champagne for Christmas, though it is noted that such gifts are a kind touch and not guaranteed with every stay.

Very close to everything especially the pub! which serves great food by the way. If I were to have a negative it would be logs were listed for the log burner but weren't there but hey all I all a great stay
Ann
The TV mounting is unsafe and ridiculous. Whilst talking of unsafe⦠the log burner desperately needs a clean and service. The upstairs toilet has a mirror that you canât use and a leaking tap. Otherwise we had a great week and the location is brilliant.
Alison
He would definitely stay there again.
