About this property

Settled into the seaside town of Walberswick, Suffolk, Lampland House is close to local attractions and has been refurbished to make the perfect family holiday home. Enter into a beautiful spacious hallway, the ground floor boasts an open-plan living area, utility room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This property offers an excellent kitchen filled with all of the home-from-home amenities you will need to cook up a storm, and here you will also find a dining table, making this spacious room a great social hub for all guests to enjoy. Three bedrooms boast calming décor, with a king and twin located on the ground floor, one with ensuite and the other is a family bathroom located next door. The additional bedroom is located on the first floor with simply stunning sea views, and it's own en-suite. In addition the first floor boasts a fantastic sitting area, with reading corner. Outside is a wrap around decked area, with the ideal spots for dining alfresco, or for those sundown G&T's. Walberswick is a beautiful seaside town resting alongside the Suffolk coast, and it offers a range of eateries and shops for you to explore, as well as river boat tours and a fantastic sandy beach. Further from the property you can find the neighbouring town of Southwold, with its famous Southwold Pier and historic lighthouse, as well as a second beach and more independent shops and eateries, it is a place you must visit whilst in Suffolk. For those who love nothing more then to spend time amongst wildlife and beautiful scenery, put on your walking boots and head over to RSPB Minsmere or Dunwich Forest and enjoy the views. Make a coastal holiday to remember with a stay at Lampland House.

Wakeham is a small hamlet situated in a conservation area on the eastern side of the rugged ‘Isle’ of Portland above the beach at Church Ope Cove. The wide road running through the centre was constructed to accommodate the transport of Portland Stone by horse drawn carts from the numerous local quarries. You can learn all about the stone quarrying at a fascinating exhibition within the local Portland Museum, and then explore the nearby coastal path, a steep walk down to the cove, passing the ruins of the Grade I listed Rufus Castle and St Andrew’s Church along the way. Sheltered Church Ope Cove offers a popular base for diving as there are numerous wrecks to discover off the shore, whilst there are also plenty of opportunities locally for fishing, climbing, sailing and bird watching. Alternatively take the drive down to the very tip at Portland Bill, which juts out into the channel and watch the boats brave their way through the rough waves. Whilst the nearby family friendly, seaside resort of Weymouth offers visitors plenty of family friendly attractions. A most attractive and unique holiday destination at any time of the year.

It was very relaxing. The house was perfect for all of us & so well equipped. The decor and art was great. Loved having all the books & magazines to look through too. Would recommend it to everyone and with family in Ipswich we would love to stay again.

Only thing I’d mention is that the decking could do with a bit of maintenance but it certainly wouldn’t stop me booking again. Thank you!
