Coastal destinations such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Snape Maltings, Southwold, Minsmere Bird Reserve, Rendlesham Forest and Iken Canoeing are just perfect for couples who are looking to get away and enjoy the Suffolk countryside, whatever the time of year. Iken is a very beautiful and peaceful spot in Suffolk.
The views along the estuary back towards Snape Maltings are stunning and the walk along the river provides a wonderful opportunity to spot lots of different bird and wildlife including the odd seal basking in the sunshine. Snape and Snape Maltings have several good places to eat whether you are looking for a snack or a more substantial meal and other pubs have local produce at the heart of their cooking. The Maltings has a wide-ranging programme of events and concerts on offer throughout the year with lots to entertain. Pub/restaurant 2 miles. Beach 4 miles.

Loved this property, has fabulous views and is in a quiet lane about two miles from Snape Maltings. Ideal for couple wanting to get away from it all, two well fitted bathrooms with walk in showers. Lounge on first floor with balcony with open views, deer and curlews regularly visit. No dishwasher and small smart oven plus microwave so adequate for couple, plenty of pubs within 10 mile radius for evening meals.

Lovely cottage, really enjoyed our stay and would book again. Only small note for improvement would be to have the parking details in the initial arrival instructions. We only realised where we should park after reading the folder inside the property.
