Guests say

Riverside House offers a superb riverside location with direct access to the water, making it ideal for fishing, boating, and relaxing by the river. Guests consistently praise the peaceful setting, spacious rooms, and proximity to Beccles town centre. However, several reviews mention that the property would benefit from a refresh, with some concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. Despite these issues, many guests enjoyed their stay and expressed a desire to return, especially for the unique riverside experience.

Several guests noted issues with cleanliness, including dusty surfaces, cobwebs, unclean kitchen areas, and outdoor furniture needing attention. Some guests had to clean on arrival, which detracted from their experience.

The riverside setting is highly praised, with easy access to the water and beautiful views. The property is also within walking distance of the town centre, making it convenient for guests.

Guests appreciated the spacious rooms and peaceful atmosphere. However, some found the property hot in the afternoons, with a lack of fans and blackout blinds, and mentioned that some furniture and beds were dated.

The property offers good amenities such as a rowing boat, secure garden, and well-equipped kitchen, but some guests noted maintenance issues, outdated décor, and a need for more comfortable outdoor seating.

Some guests were disappointed by the absence of a welcome pack, despite it being mentioned in booking information. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

Enjoyed our holiday, The house is looking very tired and needs some TLC.No Welcome Pack as noted in the booking information. Plenty to do and see and a lovely very quiet position.

Could not fault the view and closeness to river, but sadly the overall cleanliness let it down as well as lack off up-to-date maintenance, stair carpets had Sharpe pieces sticking out and my son cut his foot on it I took caught my feet a number off times , TV and dvd player in bedroom didn't work and most things were covered in so much dust we had to clean them first ... Not what u want when on holiday ... Gengrel upkeep poor outside cottage furniture covered in bird poo all needed cleaning before we could use it , no spare cupboard for our food had to rearrange one just so we could put food away ,freezer draws were filthy with old food deposits we came home after 5 days as got fed up with cleaning and catching our feet on stairs IV been to many many cottages always perfect and clean this one let us down badly for what we paid not a great start to my 60th birthday celebrations. We had to go out and buy tea towels as not even one was provided shame as all it needs is good paint and good proper clean and things working as that should .
