Beautifully renovated (to the highest standard) Victorian farmhouse, set on a hill overlooking the Waveney valley and river. Enormous gardens (over 1 acre fully enclosed) with full sized table tennis table, large hot tub, fire pit, BBQ and wood fired pizza oven. Enormous sun terrace and table for 16 to sit together outside. Walks round the private tracks on the eco friendly farm from the door. Plenty of parking for at least a dozen cars. There is a large utility with dog beds, etc and a warm dog wash for grubby pets to get clean (towels are provided)
The house has a huge kitchen/diner where everyone can be together around one table, the doors open out to the 2 sun terraces. The kitchen is extensively furnished with a commercial Rangemaster cooker, 2 dishwashers, large fridge/ freezer ,plus large larder fridge and wine cooler. Microwave, coffee machines, toasters, kettles etc and lots of equipment for extensive feasting available if required!.
The Games Room has a 3 way games table, for pingpong, billiards and air hockey. There is also a large Subbuteo table and a keyboard , plus equipment for outdoor games, and board games.
There is a downstairs shower room for those who wish to use the hot tub to rinse off in.
There is a downstairs bedroom and bathroom which is adapted for those with less mobility, suitable for wheelchair users who do not need a hoist. The whole of the downstairs is wheelchair friendly and so are the enclosed gardens and terrace. We provide a mobility ramp to get over the door thresholds.
There are also 2 large lounges with 65inch smart Tv's with Netflix etc installed for guest use. The lounges both have woodturners, and we supply a starter pack of logs. The farmhouse has full fibre to every room and bedroom.
There are 2 sets of staircases leading to the upstairs rooms, All the rooms are ensuite, One has a bath was well as a shower. The beds are sumptuous, and the showers generous. The 2 family rooms are enormous and can easily fit a cot in as well as the 3 beds. Views from the farmhouse bedrooms are over the Waveney valley, the farm and the gardens. All rooms are quirkily themed around a farmyard and have many humorous touches. The heating is via an enormous wood boiler ( we look after that!) using fallen wood from the farm. All rooms have central heating and thermostatic radiator valves. There is underfloor heating in the kitchen/diner area.
Large welcome hamper of local goodies supplied on arrival. The house is situated a short walk from Flint Vineyard, where you can lunch, have tours, buy wine etc less than 1/2 a mile away. Southwold and the coast are about half an hour away, wonderful medieval villages and towns such as Lavenham are a short drive, Norwich is 10 miles with lots to do. As well as Africa Alive, Jimmys Farm, and many other attractions a short drive away. Bungay is the southernmost tip of the Broads National Park. Please see our website for a fuller list.
