Guests say

Guests have praised the cottage for its cosy atmosphere, excellent location near the beach and town, and well-equipped kitchen. The property's Victorian features and comfortable furnishings have been appreciated, along with the thoughtful touches such as festive decorations and a welcome gift card. Some guests suggested minor improvements for even greater comfort.

Most reviews reflect a well-presented and spotlessly cleaned property. However, one review mentioned issues such as a dirty doormat and towel rail, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.

The location is consistently praised for being central, convenient, and perfect for exploring Southwold and the beach, indicating a high level of satisfaction among guests.

The property is described as cosy, comfortable, and warm, with a special mention of the comfortable furniture. One review noted an issue with bed comfort due to a sloping floor, slightly impacting the overall comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and beach gear. However, comments about a small wet-room, a fallen curtain track, and the need for a staircase handle suggest some maintenance issues.

The provision of a welcome card and gift card, as well as festive decorations, demonstrate thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

    17. South Green, cottage, is in an ideal location with ample parking. However I would question your rating of "Outstanding" 4.8 *. The door mat, on entering the cottage was disgusting, flithy dirty, we walked into the lounge to find the curtain track above the front door, had fallen off, which surely the cleaner must have known about. The pull cord switch in the downstairs bathroom, the cord is very dirty. The towel rail in the downstairs bathroom needed a good clean. The bed in the main bedroom is not particularly comfortable, as the floor slopes for right to left, the bed needs levelling up. There is no mention that the stairs are steep and the landing is very narrow, with a step down and step up to get to the upstairs toilet which is very small. This cottage would not be good for elderly people. Finally the downstairs could do with re decorating it looks tired, paint chipped of in many places. So do not understand at all your rating. Its good and could be very good, with a bit more attention to detail.

Great tucked away, but very central location. Thank you for decorating it so beautifully and providing a real tree. Clearly a treasured home, unlike some stark rentals. It was extremely well equipped with everything you'd need. Our grandson loved his litle bedroom down the narrow corridor with the window looking down into the kitchen through the skylight and the 'hidden' shower room in the 'kitchen cupboard'! Thank you for sharing your family treasure.

We loved the Victorian features, and the furniture was very comfortable. A real gem.
