A traditional holiday cottage refurbished to house a family, Parsley Cottage is settled into a fantastic spot in the coastal town of Southwold, Suffolk. Be welcomed into a homely sitting room where an eye-catching white woodburning stove rests in a bare brick fireplace, and there is a selection of sofas for you to relax with a coffee as you plan the day ahead of you. When mealtimes call, a kitchen with ample amenities and contemporary décor allows for family cooking, and you can enjoy your masterpiece in the dining room. Freshen up in the shower room before settling down for the night in one of the two bedrooms, a king-size with an ornamental fireplace and blue décor and a beach themed twin, perfect for children. Outside you will find a vibrant table and chairs where you can enjoy the salty air. Southwold is a wonderful town boasting a fantastic sandy beach, range of eateries, independent shops and iconic pier, so why not explore local artwork and produce, before enjoying a walk across the shoreline, or even trying out watersports? A short distance from the property further walks can be found at the picturesque Dunwich Forest and RSPB Minsmere, and if you travel to Halesworth you can enjoy countryside scenery. Southwold is a seaside town situated along the East Suffolk coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and resting between Lowestoft and Ipswich. Southwold is known as the home of Adnams Brewery which was established in the town in 1872 and it also has its own lighthouse, a museum and a picturesque pier which has a selection of colourful beach huts and which plays host to the regular Southwold Model Yacht regatta. The town boasts a number of excellent restaurants and eateries with a particular nod to its seaside location so there is always plenty of seafood and fish on the menu. Southwold has some fantastic independent shops, boutiques, galleries and pubs which are great for a browse and to stock up on essentials for your holiday. Just outside Southwold there are a number of great attractions for the whole family including Africa Alive Zoological Reserve, rspb Minsmere and Dunwich Museum as well as scenic towns such as Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Leiston and Lowestoft to visit.

    The welcome bits were nice but maybe not just from the local shop.

    Furnished to a very high standard. Very comfortable clean and everything worked as it should. Only downside is the stairs. Visitors should note the stairs are very steep and narrow as its its an old property. Otherwise super location, was able to park right outside and the pub was actually quite quiet of an evening.
