The property is barely half a mile from the Wangford Farm Shop, The Angel Inn, and The Plough Inn. These three local businesses cover all your food needs, whether self-catering or dining out. It's hard to fault this location on the edge of a rural village, surrounded by the glorious English countryside and only four miles from Southwold and the spectacular Suffolk coast.

Wangford is on the western border of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so it could not be better suited for exploring. Jump in the car, hop on your bicycle, or set off on foot to enjoy the remarkable beauty and peace of the scenery surrounding you in all directions. For some reason, visitors tend not to know about this charming village, making it a hidden gem loved by locals who frequent its friendly pubs, village shop and excellent farm shop. If you're feeling energetic, you can walk or cycle via Sustrans Route 13 to Southwold to build up an appetite for lunch at one of its many restaurants or slake your thirst on a brewery tour at Adnams. Southwold has all of the traditional seaside features, including a pier and fresh seafood and chips, but it also boasts a great array of boutiques to satisfy your urge for holiday shopping. Walk, drive or cycle seven miles to Walberswick for more beautiful beaches and a pub lunch.

You're only 11 miles or around 20 minutes from Beccles and the Norfolk Broads where there are lots of options for walking and boating. Local attractions include the breathtaking rspb reserve at Minsmere, family-friendly Jimmy's Farm, and the ancient Viking burial site at Sutton Hoo. Other places to visit include the Halesworth Airfield Museum and historic churches.

Elms Farmhouse has accommodation over two levels. One bedroom is on the ground floor.

Downstairs:

As with any authentic farmhouse, this holiday home's kitchen is the heart. It's extremely well-equipped for group self-catering with a modern range.

A breakfast room is adjacent to the kitchen. It's furnished with a pine table, chairs and a dresser. There is a TV, and the original fireplace has drawers for storage. A separate pantry and a utility room help keep the kitchen clear of clutter.

Everyone can sit together at the big table in the dining room. Dress the room for formal dinners and celebratory meals, or keep it casual for relaxed dining.

Every large house needs at least one sitting room where all guests can spend time together. The living room in Elms Farmhouse has sofas for 18 people, a woodburner, and a Smart TV.

The ground-floor bedroom is a lovely double room with a bay window.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1 is a huge double at the front of the house.

Bedroom 2 is furnished for families with a double and two single beds. It has an ensuite with a shower over the bath.

Bedroom 3 sleeps three people in single beds and is next to the shower room and the bathroom.

Bedroom 4 has two single beds and decor to suit all ages.

Bedroom 5 is another lovely double.

Bedroom 6 has a double bed.

There is a shared shower room and a bathroom on this floor, for guests staying in bedrooms without an ensuite.

Bedroom 8 is a small double in the attic space.

Outside: The front of the house has parking and a games room. There is an outdoor table tennis table. A walled garden is on one side of the property. The swimming pool and an enclosed garden are to the rear. The pool is covered and can be used all year round.

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, and bed linen are included with the rental of Elms Farmhouse. Guests need to bring bath towels, pool towels and cot bedding. Dogs are welcome.
