We had a great stay at this charming cottage, which was full of character and had some lovely touches. The warm weather meant we could make the most of the quaint garden. The location was ideal, with a great selection of shops, cafés, and restaurants all within easy walking distance. A perfect base and we would happily stay again.

This is a Very Old house! As such, it has all the things that very old houses require - circular stone steps, a hidden circular wooden staircase to the top floor, old (watchyourhead!) beams, linenfold panelling, a huge old fireplace (now with wood burner in the hearth) and a beautiful small semi-walled garden with chairs and a table. The kitchen is on the small side for a full house but there is a separate dining room. Despite being small it has everything you need (although a few extra bowls and glasses wouldn't go amiss to save washing up between dishwasher runs). The location is excellent - depending on what you are looking for. This is an urban area. The house itself is next to another older building but there are newer flats and houses nearby. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and a cinema within easy walking distance. The huge park is a twenty minute walk (with a hill in the middle!) but is beautiful and well used (including a friendly Saturday Parkrun). If you are looking for a property with wide views and a rural location then this is not for you.The NEC is a twenty minute drive with the options of both an A road and the motorway. We had a lovely, stress free time here (we were visiting NEC) and would thoroughly recommend. The owners are helpful and approachable.
