Avonmede is a charming and well-renovated cottage praised for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and thoughtful touches like a welcome basket and dog treats. Its location is ideal for walks and town access, with a hot tub adding to the appeal. While mostly positive, a minor issue with a neighbour's security light was noted.
Reviewers consistently mention the cottage being spotlessly clean and well-maintained, indicating high standards of cleanliness.
The property is commended for its excellent location, close to dog walks, the high street, and local amenities, with only a slight concern about traffic noise which turned out to be unfounded.
Guests found the cottage cosy and comfortable, with special mentions of a comfortable bed and the inclusion of a hot tub, although the size of the dog bed and steep stairs were minor drawbacks.
The cottage is well-equipped and the hot tub is a highlight, but there was an issue with a neighbour's security light affecting the hot tub experience, slightly impacting the score.
The hosts are praised for their thoughtfulness, providing welcome packs and dog amenities. While these are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.

Very comfortable and clean. Only issue was that the next door neighbourâs security floodlight came on whenever you moved in the hot tub, which did make us feel very uncomfortable. Donât know why itâs adjusted to come on from movement on the other side of the neighbourâs fence but it didnât feel right. Score would have been higher otherwise.

Beautiful little cottage, and we loved the welcome pack we received.Bobby our dog enjoyed his too! We enjoyed the back garden and it was beautiful in the early morning, sat outside having breakfast on the decking. We had such a wonderful special stay here.Thank you so much for making such a beautiful place to stay!

Lovely cottage, very well appointed and a really comfortable bed. I did have reservations about the proximity of the main road but they were unfounded, traffic noise was not an issue. The pub opposite was a popular spot and we ate there during our stay. Very handy for the High Street and the attractions that can be found along its length. Loved the hot tub and the privacy on the terraced garden which is a delightful space to sit, relax, and watch satellites and shooting stars passing overhead while drinking a glass of wine.
