On the approach to Windfall Cottage you will be able to admire uninterrupted views of the countryside, as well as views over the adjoining orchard, where you can enjoy seasonal fruit from the many fruit trees. The orchard is also home to the owner’s ducks and chickens.
Once you step inside the green oak-framed cottage, you will be amazed by the luxurious and contemporary blend of high quality natural oak and limestone floors and beams in every room. The bespoke kitchen has an Aga, and the beautifully furnished living room features a cosy wood burner and bi-folding doors opening on to the patio. Each bedroom has a flatscreen Smart TV and boasts its own en-suite facilities, including freestanding baths and power showers. This complete, family-friendly cottage even has an interconnecting baby suite to one of the bedrooms and a family/play room to keep the little ones amused. The patio and enclosed garden is the perfect place to entertain and socialise with a large BBQ, seating area and firepit to huddle around when the temperature falls. For the ultimate in pampering whilst at the cottage, beauty treatments can be arranged by the owners in advance.
If you want to tear yourself away from Windfall Cottage, you’ll have plenty to see and do in the area. The property lies in the small village of Beckford, in the north Cotswolds, which has a village shop and delicatessen, as well as a children’s playground, a floodlit tennis court, country pub/restaurant and even its own nature reserve. Its the perfect place for long walks, with direct access to Bredon Hill. A short drive will take you to the Cotswolds towns of Broadway, where you can visit the Tower; Cheltenham, with its annual horse racing festival, boutique and high street shops, as well as bars and restaurants; Stow-On-The-Wold, with its antique shops, and Chipping Campden with is pretty high street and shops built from Cotswold stone. Other places to visit include Daylesford Organics, which is great for a locally produced shopping experience, or just visit the fabulous café or enjoy the spa. For a family day out, visit the Cotswold Farm Park with its selection of farm animals and play barn or take a trip on Toddington Steam Railway.

Excellent family holiday. Windfall is like a home from home with practically everything you need and in a great location with walks from the door including Beckford Nature Reserve. The Old Post Office serves a fantastic breakfast bap. And the hens and ducks that come to visit will give you hours of entertainment.

We experienced problems with the heating and hot water.It was not fixed until 5 days into our weeks stay.This resulted in warm showers.We also ran out of gas for the barbecue.It was unfortunate that the owner was away on holiday.He was contactable by phone and text but it was not as effective if he had been locally available or a back up was in place

Windfall cottage is a beautiful house with lots of amenities! The surroundings are stunning and the hosts were lovely. Highly recommend staying here and enjoying the Cotswolds.
