The Hop Kiln is a spacious, well-equipped cottage set in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, ideal for families and groups seeking a peaceful rural retreat. Guests consistently praise the cleanliness, comfort, and welcoming hosts, as well as the safe outdoor spaces for children and the relaxing garden. The property is well maintained and offers a true home-from-home experience. While a few guests noted issues with flies and the size of the third bedroom, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.
Multiple reviews highlight the cottage as extremely clean and well maintained, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. Only one review mentioned flies, but this appears to be a seasonal or rural issue rather than a lack of cleanliness.
The rural setting and beautiful surroundings are frequently praised, with guests enjoying the peaceful countryside and proximity to picturesque villages. Some mention the remote location and narrow lanes, but these are generally seen as part of the charm.
Guests describe the cottage as spacious, airy, and comfortable, with warm underfloor heating and plenty of room for families. The only minor criticisms relate to the third bedroom being small for bunk beds and one bed being low for seniors.
The property is described as well-equipped and maintained to a high standard, with excellent kitchen facilities and outdoor spaces. A few guests noted a lack of some basics like bin liners, cleaning products, and a mop, but these did not detract significantly from their stay.
The hosts are repeatedly described as friendly, attentive, and helpful without being intrusive. Some guests mention thoughtful touches such as a basket of fresh eggs on arrival, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed.
This 16th century detached barn conversation is the largest of four Luntley cottages on the owners' working farm in the hamlet of Luntley, and offers character beams, wall timbers and a beautiful living area with underfloor heating. A spiral staircase leads to the three bedrooms, which again boast ceiling beams and wall timbers, and this whole Luntley cottage has been tastefully furnished to offer cosy, comfortable accommodation. This welcoming Luntley cottage is the perfect base for a family holiday or break with friends. This cottage can be booked with Refs 2215, 2216 and 2217 to accommodate 22.
Luntley is a hamlet, tiny in size and rural in location, set to the north of Herefordshire in the Welsh Marches. Visitors to Luntley will enjoy the walking and cycling available in the surrounding countryside, while for amenities with character, head 2 miles down the road to Pembridge, a medieval village on the Black and White Village Trail, whose half timbered houses, three olde worlde pubs, 14th century market hall and interesting church make this village a firm favourite with visitors. Hereford and Hay-on-Wye are within easy reach, and well worth the trip.

The cottage is very spacious, comfy and has all the amenities you need. The host was very helpful and friendly - in particular when my husband left his suit in the closet and it needed returning back to us! Would recommend.

Lovely large family accommodation just the 3rd bedroom is too small for bunk beds in our opinion but daughter and grandson slept okay on sofa bed downstairs In all good few days would use again
