Please let us know via the booking form if you would like to take part in The Alpaca Experience where you can spend time inside the paddocks with the alpacas, while their owner introduces you to the alpacas and shares stories about them. Please note that there is no walking of the alpacas involved (For stays in 2027 The Alpaca Experience will only be available on Wednesday or Saturday evenings only).
Please note the property is accessed via wooden stairs to the raised terrace.

Lovely tranquil place to enjoy the Alpacas & the countryside. The lodge is at the back looking out into a field where the Alpacas are. The lodge itself although compact has all the amenities you need, and a hot tub the hosts Karl & Joseph are very friendly , nothing is too much trouble you can meet & feed the Alpacas with them If you do decide to explore there are towns and shops not too far away by car. The lookout is a great place to stay and unwind for a couple of days. I would definitely recommend

A superb location, so quiet, peaceful and tranquil. The Retreat was furnished to a very high standard with every comfort one could wish for. The herd of Alpacas were fun to observe and to interact with during feeding times. The hosts could not have looked after us better.
