Lowe Farmhouse is located on a working farm in rural Herefordshire and offers accommodation for up to 24 in 10 bedrooms. With an outdoor activities centre and 230 acres to explore on site, it's the perfect location for lovers of the outdoors.
The property consists of a farmhouse and cottage that have been joined together therefore offering ample communal space. In total there are 10 bedrooms (1 superking, 2 doubles, 3 kingsize, 1 x 4 singles, 2 twins, and 1 room with a double and a 2 singles) and 7 bathrooms. Two bedrooms are at ground floor level. There are two well-equipped kitchens, 3 living areas, a large dining room which can fit everyone in your party, and an excellent games room with snooker table, table football, large TV and music system. Outside there are picnic benches, seating and parasols to the front of the property, a private garden, and a courtyard with additional tables and seating to the side. BBQs are available for your use.
There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. At the on site activity centre you can try your hand at paintballing, laser tag, archery and clay pigeon shooting. You are also welcome to explore the wider area, the owners have created a network of pathways around the fields, woodland and lakes on the site. If golf, horse-riding, canoeing or fishing are your thing then all are available not too far from the property. And at the end of your adventurous day it's just a 10 minute walk to The Black Swan, a 14th Century pub offering great food and ale where you are guaranteed a warm welcome from the locals.
Hereford is the nearest main town for shopping, numerous eateries and bars, an Odeon cinema, theatre, leisure centre and swimming pool. The stunning Cathedral in the centre of the town is home to the Mappa Mundi and one of only four of the original Magna Carta documents. If you like exploring places of historical interest you are never far from a castle in this area! The Three Castles - Skenfrith, Whitecastle and Grosmont - can all be reached in under 30 mins. The Castles at Raglan, Goodrich, Chepstow and Eastnor are also well worth a visit. And the exceptional Cistercian Abbey in Tintern on the banks of the Rive Wye is a sight to behold. Ross-on-Wye is a little further, it's smaller but charming and well worth a visit.
