The Lookout in Herefordshire receives high praise for its idyllic location, stunning views, and cosy atmosphere. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from hosts Ian and Sally, the cleanliness, and the well-equipped facilities, including a pool. The property offers a peaceful getaway with local attractions and walks nearby. While most experiences are positive, one mention of a wasp issue suggests occasional maintenance challenges.
Reviews consistently mention the property being immaculately presented and very clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness. One isolated incident with wasps suggests a minor deduction, but overall, the property is praised for its tidiness.
The property's location is highly commended for its peace, quiet, and beautiful views. Its proximity to local attractions, walks, and a friendly pub adds to its appeal. The need for a car to access further travel is noted, but does not detract significantly from the location's high rating.
Guests find The Lookout comfortable, with a cosy wood burner, comfortable bed, and spacious living area. The presence of a wasp nest in one review suggests a temporary discomfort for those guests, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are generally praised, including the pool, well-equipped kitchen, and the bonus of a log burner. However, a single complaint about a wasp nest indicates a need for better maintenance in that instance, slightly affecting the score.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with gestures like a welcome cake and helpful advice. While these personal touches are appreciated, it is noted that such gestures are at the hosts' discretion and not guaranteed for every stay.

The Lookout was extremely well furnished, very clean and tidy. The owner was on hand to offer and kind of help or advice. The friendliness of every one in the immediate vicinity was exceptional. The lookout was ideal for us to relax and watch the snow falling during the daytime, through the large south looking windows. The property was very warm with an excessive amount of wood available. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, so much so we booked for another week there in September next year. Thank you very much. Tanya and Trevor
