Guests say

The Stable in Ross-on-Wye offers a tranquil retreat with a private hot tub and cosy cottage feel. Guests appreciate the peaceful location, comfortable accommodation, and the added luxury of a hot tub. While some guests encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance, the majority found the property to be a delightful place for relaxation and praised the hosts' friendliness and helpfulness.

Cleanliness received mixed reviews. Some guests were not satisfied with the standard of cleanliness, mentioning areas that could be improved, especially during lockdown. However, others found the property to be clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable stay.

The location is highly praised for its seclusion, tranquillity, and proximity to local attractions and towns. The natural surroundings and privacy of the hot tub are particularly appreciated, although some guests noted difficulty in finding the property due to faded signage.

Guests generally found The Stable to be comfortable, with a cosy open-plan layout, a warm wood burner, and a comfortable bed. The peaceful environment contributed to the comfort, although there were some comments about the property being cold initially.

Facilities like the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen were highlights, but some guests mentioned maintenance issues such as leaks and the need for a fresh coat of paint. The lack of cleaning tools and issues with Wi-Fi and TV reception were noted.

While many guests felt well-cared for during their stay, there is no mention of specific thoughtful gestures such as gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness in this context.

Beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with lot of nice little touches that add the extra little luxury factor - things that certainly aren't critical, but do add a llittle touch - coffee pod machine, bluetooth speak for music etc. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the hot tub is a fabulous way to relax after a days exploring...even in the rain! All in all we had a wonderful stay, far too short, but there's only so long you can leave the children to fend for themselves. We will back!

One or two issues the lane up to the house is so rough and uneven we worried about getting through. The TV is unreliable and the instructions not accurate. The stairs to the hot tub were very steep and being older we found that a handicap but the hot tub was great. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless but small improvements would have made a good time a great time. More accurate photos of the house too please.
