Superb converted watermill, retaining beams, stonework, millstones and a lovingly refurbished kitchen, and set in grounds of owner’s country house with views over a pond with ducks and geese, sheep and countryside. With Ross, Forest of Dean 5 miles, Gloucester 12 miles, it is an ideal holiday base for exploring this beautiful area, with its variety of places to visit, activities and scenery. Newport is nearby. Swimming, golf, fishing, pony trekking and mountain biking are all available in the near vicinity. Ledbury, Monmouth, Malvern, Chepstow, and the cathedral city of Hereford with the renowned Mappa Mundi, are all within easy driving distance. Local cider makers and museums such as the Museum of Mazes are within easy reach, as well as Symonds Yat with butterfly museum and adventure playground, ideal for children. The Hereford Walking Festival takes place the third week in June and the Ross on Wye Walking Festival happens on the first weekend in October. Shop 1 mile, pubs/restaurants 1 mile.

Very clean, comfortable and cosy holiday home in lovely peaceful location. Handy for outings to Ross, Symonds Yat, Forest of Dean, Tewksbury and many other places within a reasonable driving distance. Plenty of books on places of local interest nearby. Everything you could want for a holiday in lovely countryside.

A beautifully presented cottage in a peaceful setting. The property has everything you could wish for, making it the perfect self-catering destination. The owner is extremely helpful in terms of great places to visit, and the cottage is well situated to easily reach many nearby interesting towns and villages. Would highly recommend a stay at The Mill House.
