The property was easy to find, with plenty of space to park in a peaceful setting. You felt privacy from the moment you arrived.Entering through a well laid out kitchen diner which was well equipped and didn’t seem you would want for anything. A lovely room. The bathroom, bedrooms and lounge too were clean bright and welcoming, with plenty of storage. The hosts were so friendly. You felt they would do anything they could to make your holiday enjoyable. The arrangement to use the pool was flawless and we took the opportunity to use it daily. Fantastic.

Perfect. Linda and her husband were so friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was ideal for my wife who broke her hip in April and still can't walk much. Very well equipped cottage with large comfortable beds. The visitor's book had excellent recommendations for local places to visit and also restaurants. In particular, the Mill Race, about a mile away had superb food. They provided the best Vegan meal I have tasted in a very long time. Symonds Yat Rock has wonderful views, yet accessible by car. The Forest of Dean Heritage Centre is well worth a visit - the tour was again the best I have encountered for a long while. The roads in Ross on Wye take a bit of getting used, with lots of one way systems but, for a small town, there are 3 supermarkets to choose from just a short drive from the cottage. There are walks up the adjoining hills but we didn't have the time or the fitness to attempt those. Ask Linda for details. We wouldn't hesitate to go back to Westways if we decide to explore the area more in future.
