the owner goes the extra mile, and helped us out on numerous occasions . very comfortable accommodation, perfect location

It has a large, open plan lounge with a small kitchen area and dining table and chairs. Both bedrooms are comfortable, a double with en-suite and twin with bathroom right across the corridor. The garden was a pleasant area with hot tub which was fairly private. There is some road noise but the garden area is screened by bushes. The location is really handy for the town centre. Bishop's Castle is an interesting place with brightly coloured houses and shops. The apartment is at the top of town, where the castle once was and there is a partially steep hill down to the bottom of town where the church sits. Great places to eat nearby, within 100 metres or so. The Castle Hotel does a great Sunday roast. An Indian, Chinese and Fish & Chips takeaways and a spinkling of pubs and cafes. Lots of pleasant walks from the doorstep contained on leaflets provided. We tried a couple and found them to be accurate and very scenic. Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Montgomery are all worth a visit and vary between 30 to 50 minutes drive away. Finally, Adrian is a very attentive, yet discrete host. Had a great time, no rain and pretty sunny at times.

Adrian, our host, was most welcoming and provided lots of information about Bishops Castle, which was an interesting place to explore and so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub and wandering around the lovely garden at the Old Schoolhouse. This was a unique place, with an fascinating history, which we hope to visit again. The surrounding countryside is some of the loveliest in the UK and there are many pretty towns and villages to explore. It was great, Thanks Adrian!
