About this property

The Fox, a beautifully presented, ground-floor apartment situated in a former pub in the centre of Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Boasting exposed beams and presentation to an excellent standard, this stylish abode is perfect for families looking to escape to this bustling market town and explore Shropshire. Step through the door of The Fox and be welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Inside you will find an open-plan living area with vibrant colours and quality furnishings. If you're feeling peckish, the well-equipped kitchen offers all the essentials for cooking up your favourite dishes, with a dining table to seat four. Afterwards, get comfortable on one of the plush sofas and enjoy a movie night on the large Smart TV. Head to the bedrooms, both equipped with Smart TVs so you can enjoy your favourite series in bed, with the master offering a king-size bed and the second bedroom offering a twin, complimented by a shower room. Take some time to explore the beautiful market town of Bridgnorth with its cobbled streets, tranquil riverside walkways, and charming shops, pubs and cafes. The town's rich history is evident in landmarks such as the impressive St. Mary's Church, featuring a stunning spire that dominates the skyline. Hop on board the iconic Bridgnorth Cliff Railway, in operation since 1892, and enjoy a scenic journey through the Severn Valley. Don't forget to take a visit to Ironbridge Gorge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, where you can tour the Victorian Blists Hill Museum and cross the iconic Iron Bridge. Make The Fox your home away from home and your exploration of Shropshire will be well remembered.

The market town of Bridgnorth lies in two very distinct halves - the High Town and the Low Town - separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves are connected by winding streets and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway, enabling the weary traveller to glimpse what Charles I called "the finest view in all my kingdom". A bustling Saturday street market provides an ample excuse to explore the town and examine the castle ruins, which lean at a greater angle than the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Flowing below is the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, and runs a variety of steam and diesel engines through picturesque country stations. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are a wealth of country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its 10 museums and striking landscape. The area offers excellent walking, and with the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton all within easy reach, it is ideal for a visit any time of the year.

Lucy was a delight to deal with. We have no hesitation in recommending this property. I had worried before hand about the roadside location but there was no traffic disturbance and the location made for easy access in and out of the town. We arrived about 3pm and there was plenty of parking outside the property; there is a public car park 100 yards away with free overnight parking and 40p per hour daytime with online payment option. Bridgnorth is a delight. So many good quality great value places to eat and drink, and lots of small independent retailers. Note...Google maps has the address as Hospital LANE not Street

Parking was easy. Lucy is a brilliant host, when we had a small issue with the internet she was straight on it and sorted it quickly. I would highly recommend staying here.
