We've just returned from a lovely week at The Hurstings. It really was like a home from home, everything we needed was there. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed and furniture. Hot tub was so relaxing, a bbq is there too but we didn't use it. Lovely outside seating area to sit and watch the steam trains pass by. The lodge is on the grounds of Daniels Mill and there's Millies tea room too where we had some lovely coffee and cake. There's a path next to the mill for a nice walk and you can cross over the little bridge which takes you to the field opposite the lodge to give your dog a run. You can walk into the town and the Severn Valley railway station, it takes about 15 minutes but the walk is a bit hairy in places as there's no pavement, wouldn't do it in the dark.Make sure you go on the Cliff Railway (funicular) £2.50 each return to take you to Low Town, lot's of bars, restaurants and shopping. We loved it and can't wait to go back.

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting. The Hurstings is very well equipped and has everything that you would have in your own home.

This Is a lovely 2 bedroom cottage situated under a striking viaduct. The outside space is quiet and picturesque and has great views. The cottage is very clean and has a great layout downstairs. There is a log burner hot tub which at first I thought would be a faff. However once you actually sit down and read the instructions it's really straight forward. Open a bottle of wine, enjoy the view and wait to heat up. The cottage is situated about 15 mins walk from Bridgnorth however if you have a dog you can't use the road as there is no pavement for about 300 yards and it's too busy. The alternative is to use the river path which at first is uneven and overgrown but after 5 mins of that, it's clear and a lovely walk in. You can also walk your dog if you go under the viaduct as there are lovely quiet paths and small stream too. We loved this cottage but my only issue were the bathrooms. There is a bath with handheld shower in the main bedroom but the ceiling line makes it difficult to get in and out of. The other shower is en suite too but is really small. I recommend having a bath in the hot tub. Just kidding. Parking is great and even though there is a tea room with parking next door it still felt private and is shut after 15.00 anyway. I can't believe I've never been to Bridgnorth it's a great town with loads of great pubs and people. Loved it.
