Original features like exposed beams, uneven floors, and nooks and crannies lend it a truly unique personality, while recent renovations ensure a high standard of living throughout. With five spacious bedrooms, it comfortably sleeps up to ten guests, making it ideal for groups of friends or families seeking a special place to relax and reconnect. The lower part of the property unfolds across a series of varied levels, with winding steps that lead up and down, guiding you into a collection of uniquely connected rooms.

Set within the stunning Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the house is just a short drive or scenic walk from Church Stretton, often referred to as "Little Switzerland" for its dramatic hillscape and lush valleys, with three local pubs nearby. This thriving market town offers independent shops, welcoming cafés, pubs, and regular farmers’ markets. The surrounding landscape is a haven for walkers, with access to iconic routes such as the Longmynd directly from the front door, Carding Mill Valley, and Ragleth Hill. Nearby Little Stretton itself is a delightful village with two cosy pubs and a timeless atmosphere. Whether you’re hiking, cycling, birdwatching, or simply taking in the views, the area provides endless opportunities to enjoy nature at its best. Historic towns like Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach for day trips, offering castles, riverside walks, and excellent local food.

Whether you’re curled up by the fire after a long day on the hills or gathered around the dining table for a celebratory meal, this country house offers a warm and welcoming retreat in one of England’s most unspoilt rural settings.

Beautifully decorated, bedrooms and bathrooms lovely. Farm Kitchen good size with excellent range of equipment and cutlery and welcome pack much appreciated. Dining room laid out nicely on arrival. There was a group of ten adults, baby and two dogs. On arrival the kitchen aga was on and it was homely but it was off for the rest of our stay and we found the kitchen very cold. The dinning room also got cold so we spent our time in the lounge which had a log burner. The upstairs rooms were very warm and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and they had obviously worked hard to finish the refurbishment of the property and we were the first occupants. It was a very quiet rural hilly spot surrounded by farm land, pub about a mile away. Good link road to Church Stretton, Longmynd, Ludlow
