A few things fall outside of Sykes' control. One being noisy neighbours! They had a riot in the first proper sunshine of the year which kind of ruined our hot tub quiet until they left on the Monday. Also they parked in the Cowshed allocated parking spot. We parked elsewhere but it was inconsiderate for my 87 year old father. Note the lanes are a bit precarious for nervous (or impatient) drivers. It was difficult adhering to keeping the dog off furniture and downstairs. There's a door to stop him going upstairs (which we managed) but off furniture during the night would be impossible as its open-plan. Hence we always travel with throws to amply cover a small area of a sofa and protect it well. We move cushions to stop him jumping on elsewhere. This works when we can't watch him. We thankfully gave my recently widowed father a great holiday. The ground floor facilities suited him; we visited so many places and all had a holiday to remember.
