It was nice to welcomed by the proprietor and be met with some lovely cupcakes and fresh, locally produced apple juice. The accommodation was spacious ,warm, clean and well equipped. We also had a very large and generous amount of firewood provided to us. There are plenty of good walks nearby and the accommodation provided a suitable and quiet recluse from the bonfire fireworks that my dog loathes. We would happily re-book should we visit the area again.

The beds were very comfortable and had lovely fluffy quilts (not tired and flat!) Two bathrooms worked very well for our party of two couples. The kitchen was well equipped, plenty of crockery, glasses etc Utility room with washing machine and tumble drier was useful. Plenty of parking. Quiet location. We did find it a little chilly, the logburner was brilliant for the lounge but it wouldn’t have been comfortable without it and the bedrooms were certainly chilly, which was fine for sleeping, but not great for milling around getting dressed/undressed.
