Set in the countryside of Leintwardine, this modern barn conversion is the perfect place to relax in and enjoy a rural retreat. The off grid, eco-conversion is thoughtfully simple and modern, to complement the beauty of its surroundings. There is an open plan living and kitchen area with sliding doors making the most of the views, at one end the modern fitted kitchen there’s an island and dining area, which makes a great social space, and perfect for entertaining or enjoying a family meal. The kitchen comes well-equipped with the usual appliances as well as an air fryer and a L’Or coffee machine. At the other end of the room, you’ll find a comfortable living area with a smart TV as well as further entertainment in the way of books and games, and sliding doors lead out to the garden. There is also a wood burner which is laid ready to light on your arrival. The accommodation is all on one level with underfloor heating throughout. There are three super king beds with one being a zip and link bed, two of which have en-suite shower rooms, and there is also a separate family bathroom.
Jacob’s Plock is nestled in a quiet spot, just outside of the village and enjoys a peaceful and private plot in the countryside, whilst benefitting from the village amenities, a short drive or walk away. Leintwardine is a small rural village in North Herefordshire, close to Shropshire and the border of Wales, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside. A particular popular area for cyclists and walkers. The village has a comprehensively stocked store/fuel station. There are two pubs, one of which has an excellent restaurant beside the river, and one that was a parlour pub beautifully restored which serves pub snacks and a good selection of ales. There is also an award-winning fish and chip shop in the village. Just ten miles away, the market town of Ludlow is a popular place to visit and hosts annual festivals and various events year-round. From ancient castles to medieval market towns and museums, the area is steeped in history with plenty of places to visit.

A beautiful retreat with lovely views and every need catered for. We felt really at home and very relaxed, its in a great location for visiting other areas although the village is not far with a lovely pub.We really enjoyed sitting outside watching the wildlife and stars at night our doggies really enjoyed the outside space that was really secure for them. To watch them run freely on the large grassed area was brilliant they had great fun.We look forward to coming back again.

Lovely converted barn with well designed spaces. Fantastic setting with views over surrounding countryside. Large enclosed garden was great for our 2 dogs. Owners provided travel cot and high chair for our granddaughter. We had a great inter-generational holiday, thanks. Great pub, decent chippy and well stocked local shop nearby in the village.

Fantastic building in a beautiful location but let down badly by lack of maintenance. The shower in one room was completely blocked by limescale and had to be cleaned before use. Broken wall light next to bed in another room. We decided not to use the oven at all because of its condition all cups were stained with a tea ring around the top. Dirty plates, we ended up putting dishwasher on all day for the first day to get everything clean for use using 3 of the 4 dishwasher tablets provided, we were a party of 6 staying for a week. There was more but I think that’s enough complaints. We won’t be returning. Shame because it could easily be a perfect holiday location.
