Guests say

Trooper's Barn in Shropshire is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-equipped nature. Guests have enjoyed the hot tub, the welcoming touches such as cake and wine, and the property's suitability for large groups and family gatherings. The rural location offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings, though access to shops and attractions requires a vehicle. Some minor issues with comfort and maintenance were noted, but overall, the property provides a delightful stay.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and well-maintained. There was a single mention of some dust on the floor, but this appears to be an isolated comment amidst overall excellent feedback.

The location is appreciated for its rural charm and tranquillity, ideal for exploring the Shropshire hills. However, the need for a vehicle to access shops and attractions slightly impacts the convenience aspect, as noted by some guests.

While many guests found the accommodation comfortable, there were several comments about uncomfortable mattresses and the need for better pillows. Despite these remarks, the overall sentiment towards the property's comfort remains positive.

Facilities like the hot tub, games room, and gym are generally well-received, but there are criticisms regarding the condition of games equipment and the additional cost for the pool table. Some maintenance issues, such as a leaky shower and a problematic skylight, were also mentioned.

Guests frequently mention and appreciate the thoughtful gestures such as welcome treats of cake, wine, and chocolate. While these gifts contribute to a positive experience, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

It has been an amazing stay and we will be booking again in 2026.

Beautifully decorated for the holiday, and a lovely welcome of mince pies and mulled wine. Clean, warm and comfortable accommodation. Lovely hot tub and gym. Excellent support from Chloe at Westhope. Would recommend and stay again. Suggestion for maintenance: the towel and cup holders in the bathrooms were loose and kept dropping.
