This newly renovated property offers guests comfortable accommodation, set amidst the beautiful Shropshire countryside complete with a private hot tub within the garden of the property, the large garden at the property is shared. It is a superb rural location for wonderful walks, perhaps ending up at one of the many local pubs/restaurants. Further afield guests will find many places of interest to visit.
Ludlow, a gourmet’s paradise and home to an imposing castle, many wonderful cafés, and unique shops plus a National Hunt racecourse too. Just a few miles away is Stokesay Castle, an English Heritage site, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Ironbridge, and many charming little border towns with their large array of independent bars, shops, and restaurants for guests to enjoy.
The owners have a dedicated pottery studio and guests are invited to enjoy a free one hour lesson when stopping at this delightful property should they wish with the owner and you can have your creations sent home.

We had the most amazing time at Wheelwright Cottage, our first of many trips there. Cannot recommend the cottage enough. There were three generations and it suited all. Even our dog Beau had a great time with the owners dogs and was so gutted to leave, as were us humans were too! Cottage was so well equipped and an added bonus was the games room and pottery. Memories made that will last a lifetime.

Me and a group of my friends went away to celebrate my 50th birthday on spring bank holiday weekend in May.Kate came over to introduce herself not long after we arrived and showed us around and how to use the hot tub.The cottage was lovely, perfect size for our group of 5. Lovely bedrooms which were clean and tidy with plenty of fresh towels.The hot tub was a great extra which was lovely to sit out in especially as we had amazing warm weather. Unfortunately the seating area was dirty with bird poo and wet as it has been left out so we didn't really want to sit there. Great location, stunning little village with picturesque views and hearing and seeing all the wild birds flying around. We especially enjoyed our pottery class with Jonathan, he was a great teacher and took his time to explain and share his expertise of pottery. We booked a table at the local pub The Hundred House on the Saturday night which was literally a 10 minute walk, but Jonathan kindly offered to take us as limited taxi services and with the heat. Which was very kind, he even offered to pick us back up later. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to sample the tearooms. All in all it was a great cottage in a beautiful area and the hot tub and pottery class, it made it the perfect relaxing break.I would definitely recommend it.
