Wheelwright Cottage is praised for its comfort, including cosy interiors and comfortable beds. The hot tub and pottery sessions are popular highlights, with guests appreciating the warm welcome and helpfulness of hosts Jonathan and Kate. The property is well-equipped and tastefully decorated, especially noted during festive periods. While the location is good for exploring Shropshire, some guests mentioned a preference for closer walking options for dogs.
Guests generally found the cottage clean and well-presented. One mention of outdoor furniture and dead plants looking tired suggests a slight deduction, but overall the cleanliness is highly regarded.
The location is appreciated for its proximity to countryside walks and local attractions. However, some guests noted the lack of immediate walking paths for dogs due to busy roads, slightly impacting the score.
The cottage receives high marks for comfort, with multiple reviews mentioning comfortable beds, ample hot water, and a cosy atmosphere. The spaciousness and quality linen also contribute to the high comfort level.
Facilities like the hot tub and games room are well-received. The pottery class is a unique and appreciated feature. Points are deducted for shared amenities like the freezer and washing machine being less accessible and the need for more hooks in bathrooms.
While guests mention thoughtful touches like Christmas decorations and treats, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Lovely stay and Kate was extremely helpful and polite. If you have a dog the garden is secure but there is nowhere to walk them from the cotrage as on a junction and roads are busy.Pottery session was good fun.Could go with some hooks in bathrooms and bedrooms to hang damp towels.

Very nicely presented cottage with 3 spacious bedrooms, large lounge. .Close to lots of lovely walks in the countryside. Nice sized hot tub and use of the owners garden which was nice. Food at the owners tea room was very good when we arrived early. The added extra of a pottery lesson was an added bonus as it was something my daughter had always wanted to do. We had a laugh with Jonathan who was very patient with us, having never done it before. Looking forward to the finished pots being posted to us. A very good Bank Holiday break as the weather was perfect. Thank you Jonathan and Kate for making us feel welcome.
