Woodland Park Lodges is hidden beneath a canopy of woodland deep in the glorious Shropshire–Wales border. An idyllic escape from the hustle of urban life, this is a perfect setting for those seeking to get away from it all with family, friends and four-legged companions.
Each unique lodge creates a magical woodland retreat with airy and modern open-plan interiors in warm greens and earth tones reflecting the beautiful surroundings, completed by private outdoor hot tubs and patios or verandahs. Breakfast to birdsong before the day’s exploring, or sit back and stargaze while the kids sleep off all that fresh air.
Magnificent woodland is on the doorstep – a paradise for kids of all ages! – with walks around the lodges in to dense forest. Ellesmere, 3 miles away, hosts a spectacular mere for boating, with dinghy sailing, canoeing and kayaking all nearby. Vibrant Shrewsbury is easily accessible.

We recently celebrated a 30th family birthday in Oak lodge. We honestly had the most amazing time. Sam at reception was absolutely lovely and helped me with all my questions before visiting. My family did struggle a bit to find the lodge at night as the sign is quite small and therefore ended up a bit lost. However as a whole we loved our time spent here, I really think the pictures can’t even do this lodge justice. We all had an en-suite bathroom which we didn’t actually realise when booking. The lodge is even bigger in person and just looks and feels amazing. Hot tub was also a lovely edition that was used daily. Absolutely amazing little getaway and we would love to come back again. My only complaint would be we didn’t book for long enough! Amazing!
