Set on the owners’ farm, this property enjoys stunning views over the surrounding farmland and beyond.
Ludlow is overshadowed by its own majestic castle, as it was once, like York, a seat of Government in Tudor and Stuart England. Now hosting the famous food festivals and events throughout the year, there is always a lively atmosphere in the town. It has a reputation for fine foods, award-winning restaurants, speciality and antique shops and even a racecourse.
There are public paths from the property which guests can use to walk into the town or to visit one of the many pubs or restaurants. An excellent base to explore the unrivalled countryside for picnicking and walking, or nearby towns such as Bridgnorth and Bewdley (Severn Valley Railway), Ironbridge, Much Wenlock, Church Stretton, Tenbury Wells and Leominster.
The cathedral city of Hereford with its chained library and Mappa Mundi are all within a short drive, as are historic houses such as Witley Court, Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Stokesay Castle and Powis Castle on the Welsh borders. Acton Scott, an historic working farm and the Secret Hills Discovery Centre are all just a few of the nearby attractions, so you will never be short of something to see. Pub within 1 mile.

Lovely, immaculate, well equipped cottage in a glorious location. We really enjoyed the walk up to the forest, past the viewpoints overlooking Ludlow and down into Ludlow (though walking part of the way on the pavement next to the main road is a little scary). Wifi and mobile data lovers may well enjoy the digital detox of being on a working farm in Shropshire.

Although I would like to keep this property a secret place just for us!We were 2 couples staying for a long weekend for the food festival.Fabulous Farm House in a lovely quiet countryside setting. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, spacious and comfortable. Lots of attention to detail.One of the best rentals we've ever stayed at.Special thanks to Jennifer and family for her prompt attention to all our questions about the area. Lots of lovely country walks around. Ludlow is a 20 minute walk across the fields and down quite a busy country road into the town, so bring your walking boots. Maybe best to taxi back on a dark winter evening.We will most definitely be going back.Little tip, give Ludlow Brewery tap room a try.

A good house for four people in a lovely location with easy access to lots of interesting places to visit. It’s well equipped and comfortably furnished, with immediate ‘essentials’ (tea, coffee, etc) awaiting our arrival. The owner is also close by, and very helpful if you need her! Would definitely recommend.
