This elegant and sophisticated 16th-century, Grade II-listed townhouse with a wood-fired hot tub, set on the finest street in Ludlow, is the ideal setting for that long-awaited get-together with family or friends; an escape to the natural beauty of Shropshire's countryside awaits.
In keeping with the townhouse's rich history, the wonderfully serene lounge, with its panelled walls and roaring open fire, boasts a truly peaceful atmosphere that invites weary travellers to unwind. The high ceiling and beautiful Velux windows create a sense of space in the kitchen/diner, whilst the period décor will transport you to centuries past. Stylish and sophisticated, the formal dining room sets the scene for pure relaxation whilst the second lounge upstairs, with its open fire and billiards table, is as vibrant as it is ambient. Across the ground and first floor, you'll find three en-suite king-size and three king-size bedrooms; ornamental fireplaces and rustic touches will lull you into a peaceful slumber. Outside, dine alfresco on the patio amongst the mature planting in the wonderful, enclosed garden before slipping into the warmth of a wood-fired hot tub.
The market town of Ludlow is brimming with charm, rich in history with its medieval castle and breathtaking array of historic buildings home to local delis, bakeries, restaurants and cafes. Keen outdoor explorers can find a myriad of walking and cycling trails weaving through the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surrounding the town. Renowned for its local antique and curiosity shops and Folk Museum, the vibrant market town of Leominster (11 miles) across the border in Herefordshire is the perfect spot for culture vultures to dive into the heritage of the local area. The National Trust gardens at Berrington Hall and Croft Ambrey Hillfort can be reached within 8 miles.
