We went as 2 families but the house is really set up for big groups of people and had more of a hostel feel to it. It was very cold when we arrived - would have been nice if the heating had been put on in advance of us arriving. Took a while to get warm and only the first basket of logs are included. A games room is advertised but this was unusable - the table didn't have the correct balls, the cues were damaged and it was an outhouse which was freezing. Even though I said I had limited mobility the information for getting in the side door was limited - one door couldn't even be opened even though it seems it's a fire door. Communication on the phone was a little curt to be honest and not understanding of my mobility requirements, Downstairs bedroom - the bed was very small even though the room was big. The smallest bathroom possible next to it. A rather strange welcome hamper with individual crisps and supermarket own biscuits. It was all a bit short of the mark. Hot tub was great and lovely views.

We had a lovely get together at Garth Ucha which is will equipped for large groups and very comfortable. The enormous hot tub was a big hit with the kids. Remote location as expected. A shame that the pub down the road has closed down but we had a warm welcome in the Penybont Inn a short drive away. Oswestry under 15 mins away for shopping. Check out the local church in Llanyblodwel; beautiful!

This property was booked as a girly weekend wish list trip for my terminally ill sister who unfortunately passed before the date. We as a family decided to attend in her honour only 3 days after her funeral and the property was just perfect. It is quite remote with elevated views overlooking the valley below. The views from the hot tub of the morning mists with the sunrise above were nothing short of celestial and regular appearance of 🌈 all helped with our grief. The property is very well equipped and is quite quirky with its little nooks. Plenty of areas for quiet reflection but also lots of space for gatherings. Rooms are beautifully decorated and beds very comfortable. A few creaky floorboards in the older part of the house but this just added to its charm. Would definitely rebook this in the future
