Please note: This property has a natural water supply via borehole.. A delightful detached cottage situated next to a working farm in the village of Llanyblodwel near to Oswestry in Shropshire. Well-furnished throughout to provide ample accommodation for families or groups of friends who wish to spend time together in this beautiful part of Shropshire.
With parts of the cottage dating back to the medieval period, there are many traditional features prevalent in the older sections, such as exposed beams and low doors. The ground floor has a large, fitted kitchen with plenty of space to cook for large numbers, this leads to a spacious dining room with seating for all of the guests. After dinner, guests can retreat to the sitting room and relax by the wood burning stove or enjoy an evening in front of the TV. For those who prefer to watch something different, or simply want some peace and quiet, there is an additional snug with comfortable sofas and a TV located in the older portion of the cottage. There is a games room with a pool table and football table to keep children or adults alike entertained. On warmer evenings, guests can enjoy a refreshing drink in the hot tub overlooking to stunning countryside landscape. Outside is a front patio area where guests can plan the day’s activities, leading to an extra paddock which is great for the kids to enjoy.
The rural village of Llanyblodwel offers beautiful countryside. Just one mile from the Welsh border and close to the Berwyn Mountain Range, there is an abundance of scenic walks and cycle trails to explore. The town of Oswestry is just a short drive away where there are a variety of shops and restaurants to try. Close to a number of tourist attractions, Garth Ucha can be enjoyed throughout the year. Lovely property everything you need is supplied. Plenty of space for 13 people. Outside large hot tub is great. Perhaps garden furniture could be updated. .

Property was very tired and could do with a deep clean. Some furniture in need of replacement, some basic kitchen utensils missing ie tin opener / bottle opener, not as clean as would expect. House was quirky with plenty of space for our party, just a little disappointed with standard when compared to others we have stayed in.Outside area needed some attention.Owner replied quickly to any query and caretaker responded quickly to what turned out to be grid power cut.

We chose Garth Ucha for a family gathering and had a great time. The property is off the beaten track with lovely countryside views all around. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend. The kitchen has been thoughtfully equipped – two dish washers, two kettles, two toasters, etc. We stayed during a summer heatwave but the building remained cool and airy. The hot tub on the patio is fantastic. We’d happily return.
