Guests say

Top Farm Lodge in Oswestry, Shropshire, receives high praise for its cosy, clean, and comfortable environment. Guests appreciate the friendly owners, dog-friendly amenities, and the local pub and shop. The property's location is ideal for exploring local attractions, and thoughtful touches like milk and biscuits add to the welcoming atmosphere. The lodge's warmth, even in freezing conditions, and the provision of a log burner are frequently mentioned, making it a desirable retreat.

The property is consistently described as clean and fresh, with several reviews highlighting its spotlessness. One mention of dog hairs suggests a slight deduction, but overall, the high standard of cleanliness is evident.

The location is praised for its proximity to local attractions, pubs, and shops, with many guests appreciating the rural setting and the ease of access to both Shropshire and mid-Wales. The village's friendliness and the availability of walking routes contribute to the positive feedback.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of cosy beds and a warm atmosphere. The presence of en-suite bathrooms in both rooms and the spaciousness of the lodge contribute to the comfort experienced by visitors.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of a log burner. However, some guests suggest improvements such as the addition of coffee tables and a larger fridge. One negative review regarding maintenance and cleanliness suggests room for improvement.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is noted through gestures like leaving milk and biscuits, and providing a field for dog exercise. While these gifts are appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, although common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely and cozy. Everything we needed was provided. Local pub was not great. We walked to the Cross Keys in the next village and had an amazing Sunday roast.

However small changes would make a huge difference. There are no coffee tables in the lounge area, so nowhere to place a drink. The fridge is on the small side making it difficult for food storage. There were dog hairs on the rug in the lounge and dog hair on the double bed.
