Originally booked for four adults, we became two adults, so we rattled a bit in such a luxurious and large property. That's not a complaint! The kitchen provides all that you need to self-cater (although we wanted to reorganise the cupboards and drawers!), along with unexpected luxuries too numerous to list. ASHP hot water & warmth were on tap. This really is a home-from-home. Ideally placed for Chester, North Wales, Liverpool/Manchester, and a lot of English Heritage sites in the South. We recommend Gardiner's fish and chips in Whitchurch, but as we visited friends and family, and self-catered the rest of the time, we didn't try any local hostelries. Nothing is too much trouble for Host Jim and his family, and they've thought of just about every need, together with providing stylish decor and surroundings. We certainly recommend Stable End.

This is a really lovely large house decorated to every high standard and all the rooms are spacious and well catered for. Its an excellent base for weddings at the nearby Abbey.The hosts were really co my icstive and easy to access.Thouroughly recommend this property .

Had a great time a Stable End. Really excellent place to just chill and relax.Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and beautifully furnished with high quality beds, linen and towels.Whitchurch centre is quite small but has plenty of really top quality places to eat or have a coffee Walters House of coffee is excellent, run by Josh and his very friendly staff, also has great cakes and scones.The Black Bear had excellent food for lunch or dinner with a good selection of beers.The White Lion in Ash Magna is great for a Sunday lunch.I would also recommend Benjamin's Deli for coffee, cake or food and if you want excellent meat then the Red Cow Butchers is the place to go.Lornashouse gift shop is also worth a visit.
