Hippo’s Rest is a comfortable cottage and an ideal size for 2. It is attached to the owners house but they were unobtrusive. It was exceptionally cold when we were there but we could control the heating in the cottage with the thermostat and the electric fire, so we were always warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the cottage nicely decorated throughout. The bathroom was large and had great views from the window, however the shower was on the small side. We would return if revisiting the area.
