Guests say

Canal Cottage in Shropshire is highly praised for its comfortable and well-equipped accommodation in a picturesque and convenient location. Guests enjoy the proximity to walks, museums, and eateries, as well as the presence of visiting wildlife. While some mention the charm of its historical features, others note the challenges posed by low doorways and steep stairs. The cottage's cleanliness and the helpfulness of the owners are frequently commended.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-presented, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. Only one mention of mould around shower tiles suggests a minor issue, but this seems to be an isolated comment.

The location is universally acclaimed for its beauty, tranquillity, and convenience, with easy access to local attractions, pubs, and restaurants. The presence of wildlife and scenic walks adds to the appeal.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with mentions of a comfortable bed and cosy setting. However, some guests note the uneven floors and steep stairs, which could impact comfort for those with mobility issues.

Facilities are deemed good, with the cottage being well-equipped for guests' needs. There are a few minor criticisms regarding a missing cork screw and the suggestion of a spare set of keys, but overall, the facilities meet guests' expectations.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

There were lots of things to do in the area, including the World Heritage Site of Ironbridge Gorge. Only niggles were there was no cork screw...luckily the pub across the road helped out, and only one toilet roll which surprised us for the length of our stay. But still a really good stay and we would happily to recommend the cottage.

Would definitely recommend for a couples stay. Lovely walks on your doorstep and everything you need within the cottage :-)

It's cosy, relaxing and in a quiet tucked away spot with wildlife, walks and a fantastic china museum on the doorstep. I had no issues with parking across at the pub and people in the area were friendly which was nice as a solo traveller. I would be very happy to stay there again.
