Guests consistently praise The Leat for its tranquil and picturesque setting, spotless interiors, and high-quality furnishings. The property's wildlife and serene pond views are frequently highlighted, alongside the thoughtful touches provided by the host. While most experiences are positive, a few guests mention minor issues with soundproofing and bedding preferences.
Reviewers repeatedly commend the property for its spotlessness and the sense of safety regarding cleanliness, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Only one isolated comment about a possible allergic reaction suggests any concern, but this does not seem to be a cleanliness issue.
The location is described as peaceful, idyllic, and well-positioned for local attractions. The natural setting and wildlife are appreciated, contributing to the high score. There are no negative comments about the location.
Comfort is highly rated, with guests enjoying the quality of the beds and the peaceful environment. However, there are remarks about the pillows being too firm for some guests' liking and noise from adjoining properties, which slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally praised for being modern and well-equipped, with high-quality showers and a welcoming touch of a welcome basket. A few minor maintenance issues, such as a non-working torch and lighter, are noted but do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.
The host's thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs mentioned by several guests, which include items like scones, jam, cream, bread, eggs, and butter. While these gifts are warmly received, it is politely noted that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

We found it perfect for two couples. Comfortable and well equipped. Good view of the pond and the bird life. Great communication from Natalie.

Location and view from property fantastic. So peaceful. Accommodation very homely and individual. A couple of minor details. Torch provided did not work. Lighter provided for barbecue did not work so maybe a little extra care by housekeeping. Otherwise everything excellent, we would stay there again.
Gillian
Thoroughly recommended. Natalie and Max have given a lot of thought and attention to both the barn conversion and local landscape. Immaculate, attractive and extremely well-fitted out accommodation. The setting is simply beautiful with a view of a small lake surrounded by trees and flowers which attract many varieties of birds- binoculars provided! (It would be a bonus to have some access to the lake if this could be achieved without trespassing on the family's privacy.)
