About this property

Worcester 4.6 miles. The Granary Cottage, a contemporary, three-bedroom home rests in the tranquil village of Lower Broadheath, near Worcester, Worcestershire. A car journey away from the city centre, The Granary Cottage offers a stylish and well-equipped base for couples, families, and friends alike, complete with a pet-friendly garden, en-suite bedrooms, and open-plan living space. Arrive to plenty of off-road parking, travelling through your private garden, the perfect setting for alfresco mealtimes as your furry companion roams freely. The open-plan living space is well-equipped, with a sleek kitchen with forest green cabinetry, a bespoke breakfast bar, a dedicated dining space for six guests, and plenty of plush seating to sink into after a busy day of adventure; if you’d prefer a quiet nook away from the rest of the home, unwind in the first-floor snug, also home to a games console. Three well-appointed bedrooms await, all complete with a handmade, wood-clad feature wall, sumptuous beds, and plenty of storage, where you can select between a king-size with en-suite, a double with en-suite, and a twin; a contemporary shower room services the latter, completing the home. Once you’ve toured the local area, where you’ll find The Dewdrop Inn for a bite to eat, and a Post Office for some basic household items, visit nearby Worcester and its impressive Cathedral, Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum, and the National Trust property of Greyfriars House and Garden, plus many more historic buildings. Spend the day with nature by hiking across the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or lose yourself in the historic, market town of Pershore with its period architecture, shops, and the beautiful Abbey Park. Explore the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire in all its glory with The Granary Cottage as your home away from home.

The ancient cathedral city of Worcester, dating back to 400BC, is the birthplace of the composer Sir Edward Elgar and offers visitors an array of amenities including individual shops, traditional pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. Many festivals can be enjoyed throughout the year including the Three Choirs (it is claimed this is the oldest in the British Isles!), Music and camra beer festivals. The Swan Theatre also hosts both professional and amateur productions throughout the year. The Severn Way, Monarch’s Way and Millennium Way are close by as well as Spetchley Park, with its beautiful historic house, 30-acre gardens and parkland making a lovely day out for all the family. The nearby picturesque market town of Pershore boasts a magnificent Norman abbey, Georgian architecture and an excellent range of shops and cafes, while the surrounding countryside is famous for fruit growing and market gardening, and Bredon Hill, just south of the village, is home to an Iron Age Fort, Roman earthworks and a number of ancient standing stones. The Worcestershire town of Malvern dates back to the Bronze Age and is situated on the eastern side of the magnificent Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which forms a 9-mile range of ancient rock offering miles of footpaths and bridleways, with long-distance views in all directions. A picturesque destination for a memorable holiday at any time of year.
