There are places that offer a break, and then there are places that gently restore you. Valley View is very much the latter. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in peace and quiet. The kind that settles into your bones. Mornings began with soft light spilling across the valley, and the gentle sight of lambs in the fields below, completely unhurried and content in their small world. A highlight on a walk to Ardley, we sit and watched an otter swim in the river and then run along the riverbank. The views are simply beautiful, stretching across open countryside that feels both expansive and comforting at the same time. Whether sitting quietly with a cup of tea or watching the light change across the hills, it’s a place that invites you to slow down. The cottage itself is warm and welcoming, a perfect base for rest and simple pleasures. We left feeling calmer, clearer, and already hoping to return.A truly lovely stay.

Great location and comfortable warm cottage, especially the beds. Soft large towels. Bright and airy. Good value. Easy to find and all local serviced within easy distance.

Stunning location and views and exactly what was needed for peace and quiet. Some enjoyable walks from the property although wellies were needed as the river was flooding in places. Pleasant cottage with plenty of space and comfort. Great stay for us and our baby. Hopefully be back in the future!
