This traditional cottage is homely with all you will need for a country escape. On the ground floor, you have a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy living room with smart TV and views of the valley beyond, making for a lovely spot some relaxation and down time. The first floor offers three bedrooms, a master bedroom with king-size bed, a double/twin room and single room, along with a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Outside there is a large rap around garden with an abundance of space, perfect for garden games.
The well-regarded town of Bewdley is just a five minutes’ drive, lined with traditional pubs, independent restaurants and shops. There is a farm shop there, which is great for stocking up on yummy local produce. There are lovely river walks to enjoy on the banks of the River Severn. Be sure to visit the heritage Severn Valley Railway to see the countryside via steam train. For a wild day out, West Midland Safari Park is within easy reach too. Being on the edge of Wyre Forest, cycling, walking and horse riding is in abundance.

The house is basic and a bit tired. Some of the kitchen equipment is in dire need of replacement or upgrade. The bathroom, although clean was very dated and a bit shabby. The beds are extremely comfortable though and we got great sleep. Overall for the price, I didn't expect it to be amazing and it wasn't. The area the house is in is well worth a stay though and the owners are lovely, friendly people. Situated in a beautiful valley with spectacular views and great walks straight from the front door was what we went for and we weren't disappointed. Chickens turned up like clockwork at 6pm for a scratch around the garden, which was really nice to see. Bewdley, which is the nearest town is a fine Georgian built town, vibrant and interesting sitting on the Severn river. If you don't mind living in a tired old chintzy abode for a week, which we didn't to be fair, then I would recommend it because where the house is situated is sublimely peaceful and quiet.

Our accommodation was homely with all the necessary equipment. The views are stunning and enjoyed several sunrises. Location meant you could hear the toot toot of a steam locomotive on the Severn Railway. So managed to view steam engines during Gala Weekend in Bewdley Walking by the river to Arnley was lovely and seeing the wildlife. During our stay we visited Blists Hill fascinating place with knowledgable guides along with the Jackfield Tile Museum. A trip into Ludlow to see the many old timbered houses and get some local cheeses. Not to be missed in Bewdley is a walk by the river to see the footpath art and the micro brewery. Near by is Hartlebury Castle the residence of the Bishops of Worcester until 2016 and Havington Hall is worth the effort. Spot the priests holes ? As for nature all around us we saw hares, swans, geese, ducks, bird of prey and (our girls) the chickens who visited the garden every day. Of course not to be missed the sheep and cattle in fields around us. Would love to come back to soak up more of the silence...
