Resting in Haworth, West Yorkshire is Erin Cottage, a delightful, stone-built, end-terrace cottage, in a courtyard of private properties. Set over two floors and sleeping up to five guests, Erin Cottage is perfect for couples to get away to the West Yorkshire countryside with their furry companions in tow. A public car park is just a short walk away, before travelling to your new abode, where you’ll be greeted by a homely sitting room, where an electric fire takes centre stage below the wall-mounted Smart TV; surrounded by plush sofas, get the popcorn ready and enjoy a film together. Take advantage of the facilities in the kitchen/diner and cook up a storm for you and your loved ones to enjoy around the dining room table.
Upstairs there are two cheerful double bedrooms with TV's, a single bedroom, and a shower room with basin and WC. Outside there is a courtyard area with furniture to enjoy an evening under the stars. Haworth is steeped in history and formerly home to the Bronte sisters; it has much to offer including traditional pubs, restaurants and cafés, and a variety of walks allowing visitors to follow in the footsteps of Catherine and Heathcliff by wandering the fantastic, rugged moorland. Skipton is nearby with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre, and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum.

The small village of Haworth was home to the famous Bronte sisters, who were inspired by the surrounding moorland to pen their novels, which have become classics of English Literature. Haworth is a village that time almost forgot, with its myriad of curiosity and antique shops, alleyways and cobbled streets creating a wonderful period atmosphere, all set against a framing backdrop of countryside famously described in the novel Wuthering Heights as wild, rugged and barren. Nearby, the famous Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, an authentic steam railway brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, provides a lovely day out with a regular service to the old village of Oxenhope. The area abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton, often fondly regarded as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, is just a short drive away, and also within reach are elegant Harrogate and vibrant Leeds and Manchester.

Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked.

The Christmas tree and decorations made it even more special, and we have already booked again for next year. Oh wait, nothing to do with the property but if you park in the Museum Car Park (a couple of minutesâ walk) be VERY careful, we had no signal and could not get the app to work, by the time we carried our bags round to the house and got some internet signal we had received a parking fine ! We did not know this at the time and had already paid for parking, but we will contest it for the 10 minutes it was not paid for. Parking cost us £33 for the weekend (and perhaps more if we don't win the case)
