This West Yorkshire cottage has three bedrooms and is perfectly placed for exploring Haworth, Hebden Bridge and Skipton. Park within the gated entrance, head past the excellent front patio and make your way into the property; to your left is the homely sitting room, where a gas fire sits within the stone fireplace to warm you on a cool evening, relax on one of the sofas or armchair and watch a film on the TV to wind down after another exciting day. Admire the exposed stonework and timber beams in the ceiling before discovering the dining room, gather at the table for family meals or use this space to relax on the soft seating away from the TV for a quiet moment. Completing the ground floor is the large kitchen where you can find all you need to make your favourite dishes, including a large American-style fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob and washing machine, as well as a quaint corner with coat hooks and a bench. Head upstairs to find the master bedroom, home to a double bed and featuring a stunning en-suite shower room with a large shower enclosure, along with the shared shower room and two more bedrooms, a double and a twin, all complete with pretty decor and plenty of storage space, with some countryside views of the valley. Enjoy time outside on the patio, with furniture for relaxing on or dining alfresco in the summer months. The charming village of Oakworth is just a stone's throw from the historic village of Haworth, famous for being the home of the Brontë sisters, you can visit the Brontë Parsonage Museum set up in their old home, it now contains personal items and original manuscripts belonging to the women on display. Take a walk from the village down to the Brontë Waterfall within the heart of Brontë Country and take in the wonderful scenery that inspired the famous novels, as well as venturing to Top Withins, an old farmhouse said to be what inspired Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights. Also in Haworth is the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway where you can be taken back in time in a vintage carriage carried by a steam train through stunning countryside, or head to Haworth Central Park for a picnic in the elegant and well-kept grounds. Enjoy a wonderful day out at East Riddlesden Hall run by the National Trust, this restored 17th century manor house is complete with period furnishings and formal gardens as well as being home to a tea room, making it a lovely outing. For some exciting adventures, visit Doe Park Water Activities Centre to have a go at sailing, canoeing, kayaking and raft building, as well as archery too for those who prefer dry land! The surrounding area has lots to offer too, with Ilkley Moor presenting a wonderful challenge for walkers, Thornton Hall Country Park presenting another lovely day of exploring, Skipton being home to Skipton Castle and the bohemian streets of Hebden Bridge offering a fantastic arts scene. Just a few miles from the well-known Bronte village of Howarth is this delightful Pennine village, Oakworth. Famous for being the filming location for the classic 1970 film The Railway Children, Oakworth is an excellent base for a break in West Yorkshire; it is home to a pub and a shop and an ornamental park, and is within easy distance of Keighley and Howarth. Visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum, East Riddlesden Hall, the Museum of Rail and the market town of Skipton.

    The cottage itself is delightful, spacious and comfortable and you can tell the passion that has gone into preparing it to be a lovely holiday home. We received a very warm welcome and the gifts were much appreciated. The cottage is very well equipped and home from home, couldn’t fault our stay at all.

    The Kitchen was well equipped, everything you needed to cook meals. You need not travel to far to explore different areas near by. With plenty of walks from the door of the cottage.
