Guests generally enjoy the picturesque setting and the hot tub at Waterside Lodge Fourteen, appreciating its beautiful views and wildlife. The property offers a peaceful retreat with a cosy atmosphere, and the staff are commended for their service. Some guests plan to return, highlighting the lodge as a good value for a relaxing stay.
The lodge receives mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it clean and tidy, others reported issues with mould, drainage problems, and a smelly bathroom. The presence of construction debris around the property also detracted from the overall cleanliness.
The location is praised for its lovely views, proximity to nature, and peaceful environment. Guests enjoyed the wildlife and the scenic setting by the canal, making it a highlight of their stay.
Comfort levels are generally satisfactory, with guests finding the beds comfy and the lodge cosy, especially with the fire during cold weather. However, some noted that the seating was not comfortable for all and that the lodge felt cramped for larger groups.
Facilities like the hot tub are well-received, but several guests reported maintenance issues such as faulty appliances, poor Wi-Fi, and drainage problems. The need for a lick of paint and minor repairs was also mentioned.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score for this category.

Lovely lodge in a beautiful location. Very well equipped for cleaning, tea, coffee etc. Several minor repairs needed - hot tub light didn’t work, window handle hanging off etc. Seating was very uncomfortable for us (retired grandparents) but is probably adequate for younger people The temperature outside was freezing but we were cosy and warm

The lodge was lovely and cozy the hottub was gorgeous abit of a problem at the first with it tripping all time the downstairs bedroom had mold and it smelled horrible I tried to get in contact with owner but she never messaged me the next day I had to speak to a cleaner about it and even they didn’t hardly do anything about it

It was very clean and tidy and lovely views.Unfortunately when the sink was emptied, the dirty water came up into the bath downstairs. It didn’t spoil our weekend but it wasn’t pleasant.
