Lovely converted cottage. Had all the amenities we needed and more. We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children age 14 and 17 and a dog. Guest book in the cottage with do's and dont's. A lot of dont's for dogs unfortunately and ours wondered why he couldn't sit on the couch with us.Not much in the immediate area. We drove to Driffield, Scarborough and Bridlington for days out.Arrived Friday afternoon and the hot tub was not ready to use until Saturday afternoon.

we woukd 100% visit again we are a family of 5 , 3 kids (11,8 and 4) and a french bulldog. The property is absolutly stunning we loved the handmade furniture throughout the building a few things stopped us rating this a 5 first being i arrived on my birthday to a freezing cold hot tub weve never had this before we fill our hot tub at home with hot water to boost the time it takes to warm, the second day it still wasnt warm we could only stay in around 20 mins as it was cold it finally got properly hot by day 3. another thing we was disappoint in was it didnt say anywhere until we got their that dogs arent allowed on the farm and this is what sold the holiday to us we though it would be lovely having a stroll down to the farm as a family but this wasnt the case as dogs arent allowed. the chairs and bench at the table was all unstable belt like the legs was going to come off them did contact the owners but never got a reply. if you like to go out and explore alot this place isn't for you its out in the sticks with not alot around it we had a lovely relaxing break but it didnt feel as private as advertised one day I looked out the window to someone cutting across our property carrying logs which to me felt a bit rude theirs a gate to the owners house on the property so theirs people about all the time i felt like we was being constantly watched which maybe isnt the case but it felt like it . its very open when you come out the whole farm can see you in your swimming garments theirs no wind protection around the tub so it gets cold in their quickly. Would return again but would like more privacy

We stayed at Cattle Crush Cottage during a period of bad weather, so it was lovely to experience underfloor heating and a log burning stove. The cottage overall was warm and cosy, very clean and well presented with good quality bedding and soft furnishings. There was plenty of room for everyone. The corner settee, although comfortable, was a bit worn at the back and the scatter cushions need replacing . Generally speaking the cottage had everything you could need. The WiFi was very good. However some little tweaks would have elevated it to excellent. Such as providing oven gloves and a tea towel. Outside the hot tub was very welcome, but it is totally open to the elements with no cover, and there are no hooks for towels/robes . It was dark when we arrived, and we struggled to find the entrance to the farm as it was poorly lit, as was the car parking area. The village is in a rural area, which is lovely and isn't far from Driffield, where you can get what you need. It's not too far from lovely Beverley or the coast either.
