Beautiful cottage. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. My 6 kids loved the pool and the rabbits and play areas. As did all 4 adults. The holiday started off beautiful. The flies were a bit annoying lots of hanging fly traps with lots of flies on when we entered and the bag outside was quite smelly walking in and out of the front door. It is on a farm so I understand that might be the case. I feel fresh fly traps should of been put up not the last weeks still being there , Just didn't expect it on arrival. I also had to take one down as soon as you walk into the dining area. We were close to catching our hair in fly ridden trap. Wasn't the best place for it, for long hair. So the pool was beautiful unfortunately it started to go green and slimey 4 days in. Which we feel should of been checked more frequently as we had to inform the lady. We had to wait a full day for the pool to be treated so kids missed out. Then we were informed that we would have no electricity from 9am until 4pm day before we left. Which we understand it was out of their control . However a good will gesture would of been nice to make up for it. Rather than we can show you the letter. The lady asked one member of our group the day before we were leaving if she could drop the water in the jacuzzi. Me and my husband wanted to go in at night and in the morning. I don't feel it's right to empty until we all leave. The person the lady asked was really only speaking for themselves. This in turn caused friction. With big groups I feel this should be considered. Asking to empty early before we have left is not ok. So great start not so great ending.

Ideally located to all local attractions. We stayed from the 8 -15 Aug. Weather was great so the pool was an ideal way to cool down. The house itself had all you needed but if you forgot something Heather the host was more than happy to help. It was peaceful with the odd sheep letting us know they lived near aswell. Fridge a little small but the freezer is there also. Our family loved the snooker table. We played cards in the games room while they played. Large room to accommodate us all. A peaceful restful stay would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic time, the pool was lovely and warm, the kids enjoyed the games room. Nice little touches were cleaning supplies, board games, dvds. Would definitely recommend a stay
