This delightful detached lodge is well located for exploring this part of Yorkshire and into Lincolnshire. With great walks and cycle routes straight from the door, the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists. An abundance of wildflowers, birds and butterflies can be enjoyed in the nature reserves at Barlow Common, Skipwith and Derwent Valley. RSPB experts run guided walks around Fairburn Ings, 17 miles, and events, including family fun days, are organised throughout the year. The medieval city of York is just 20 miles away with easy access to the city from the designer outlet Park and Ride. Beverley with its minster is 30 miles away. Hull, with its futuristic aquarium ’The Deep’, Leeds and the Royal Armouries, and the elegant spa town of Harrogate are all within an hour’s drive. The coastal resorts of Filey, Scarborough and Whitby are easily accessible. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

As a long stay guest, Bank End Cottage is a gem, its spacious and well equipped with everthing you could possibly need for a stay here. Its location is very quiet and peacefull, but still close to a few local shops.The only thing as a longer stay guest i missed was a washing machine, although can appreciate this is not a neccessity for shorter stays. Tony and Becca are perfect hosts .

We loved the location and the lodge is very clean and has everything you need.. it’s like home from home and we were very comfortable.. we would actually live in this lodge as it’s lovely and spacious, warm, and homely.
