Situated in the village of Great Hatfield The Old Stable is ideally situated for countryside walks and has easy access to the local beaches with Mappleton beach within walking distance. There are several excellent pubs locally and the bars and restaurants of Hornsea are a short drive away. The lovely market town of Beverley is easily accessible, as well as the attractions in Hull including The Deep aquarium, Ferensway Art Gallery and The Hull New Theatre. Further afield there are the historic city of York and the seaside towns of Bridlington and Scarborough.

Downstairs there is a well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A large lounge/dining room boasts stunning original wooden beams and inviting sofas on which to relax and watch the Smart TV while contemplating the next day’s plans. A large dining table gives plenty of room to enjoy the meals cooked after a busy day.

There is a ground floor king-sized bedroom with views over the courtyard and door giving direct access to the patio. A downstairs bathroom has a large walk-in shower.

Upstairs there is a large king-sized bedroom with a Juliette balcony giving stunning views over the local countryside. As well as the resident horses, there are often wild deer seen grazing in the fields.

Discover the small town of Great Harwood situated within the bustling district of Hyndburn, yet within striking distance of the beautiful Pendle Hill and the Forest of Bowland aonb. Within the town centre, you will find a variety of local shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants for all of your amenities, serving fine food and local produce. Also nearby is the charming village of Whalley, which plays host to a number of impressive feats of architecture including the Whalley Viaduct and the 14th century abbey ruins, which is home to the beautiful Whalley Abbey Gatehouse. Outdoor enthusiasts can look forward to exploring the picturesque area of the Forest of Bowland aonb, boasting a variety of countryside sites and trails for some scenic walking and cycling opportunities. You could also don your hiking boots to explore Pendle Hill, where on a clear day you can enjoy the far-reaching views of Blackpool Tower and the Lakeland fells, as well as the Pendle Sculpture Trail to keep children entertained whilst on the walk. Brush up on the local history further with a visit to the town of Clitheroe and pay a visit to the Clitheroe Castle Keep with a maze to and a museum to explore. Alternatively, there is the National Trust owned property of Gawthorpe Hall and Churchfield House, both of which date back many hundreds of years and are set in beautiful landscaped gardens, ideal for spending the afternoon exploring. Less than ten miles away is the thriving city of Preston and the majestic Ribble Valley is awaiting to be explored too.
