Easington is a village in the unitary authority of Redcar and Cleveland and the ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the North Riding of Yorkshire, the village is located east from Loftus, and inside the North York Moors National Park. Loftus is well situated for discovering the unique coastal villages of Runswick Bay and Staithes, the latter being a popular choice for artists. Four miles to the north is the wonderful spa town of Saltburn with its golf club and long pier sweeping over the wide sands. The Yorkshire coastline encompasses some of the UK’s most rugged and charming countryside, from tiny fishing villages clinging to rocky cliffs to glorious stretches of white sand and family-friendly seaside resorts, with everything from windswept abbeys to the county’s best fish and chips. This cottage was spotless, the king bed was very comfy, nice powerful shower and huge bath, lovely bedding & towels. Kitchen was great with full size fridge freezer, full size dishwasher, washer/dryer and a clothes airer but oddly no ironing board or iron! Could do with a couple of serving spoons but it was ALL absolutely fantastic. Lots of parking space inside your gated area. Lovely seating area with a table on the lower level with a lovely big sun parasol that actually shades both levels if needed We were blessed with wall to wall sunshine all week so we ate out sat on the top patio every day (would be great to have a small bistro set on here) as the views from here are beautiful as you are elevated so you get amazing views over the fields, the step from the patio doors onto the top patio is very deep though so care is needed. We saw deer multiple times every day from here , we saw foxes playing in the field and we also saw barn owls, the deer even came into the owners garden next door which was lovely to see. We had a problem on our 4th day and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get hold of the contact number left in the property which is actually for a cleaning company Kleansail, we tried by phone & text message as when ringing them multiple times it just kept saying this person is not available and try again later or send a text which we did but they never replied to us at all and they are the only contact number for anything during your stay so we ended up ringing Sykes and they finally got the problem sorted out for us. It would be much better to have direct contact with the owners as this is the first time in many years of bookings with Sykes that we have not had a direct contact number with the actual owners of a property. This cottage is just amazing and we would love return to stay here again in the future. It is so peaceful and tranquil. You have great walks in both directions from the door and a lovely pub 5 min walk away. Absolutely stunning property. Thank you x

It contained everything we needed for our stay including useful information on the surrounding area. Sitting in the garden we watched deer, pheasants and a barn owl going about their business. It was a lovely, relaxing holiday and we would definitely stay again.
