The owners excel at group stays and can help you plan a choice of activities that include various food packages, on-site spa days, cocktail-making master classes and boot camps. With space for up to 26 guests and facilities that include a large outdoor hot tub, sauna and three separate living areas, you and your guests will find it easy to relax and have fun.

Horn Cote is THE best place to host your self-catering hen or celebration weekend in Yorkshire. Surrounded by beautiful countryside yet only a ten-minute walk from the local pub, the 17th Century farmhouse has the sort of country-chic style that you see in Tatler or Town & Country magazines and is perfect for letting your hair down with friends and family in comfort. The owners cater exclusively for group bookings like hen weekends (as well as stag parties for over 35's), milestone birthdays, family celebrations or simply being child-free for a few days away with friends!

The location just outside of New Mill and only two miles from the pretty village of Holmfirth (the filming location for "Last of the Summer Wine") feels peaceful and rural yet is just 45-minutes from Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds. It's entirely possible to spend a day shopping in one of these cities before returning to a cocktail mixing masterclass and a catered meal in the dining hall (house chef and waiters can be arranged), or waking up to a late brunch and an afternoon of pampering spa treatments before enjoying an unforgettable night of dancing with on-site disco (karaoke available to book and live bands can be arranged). The owners of Horn Cote can help you arrange the perfect mix of activities to suit your party, from a burlesque class, to guided walks, road cycling and even boot camp.

You can stay on the grounds of Horn Cote without organising anything extra at all and still have a fantastic time because the house has it all. Not only is there plenty of space indoors and out where people can either spend time socialising together or snooze and sunbathe in peace, but the house also has a large outdoor 7-seater hot tub in a private courtyard, bespoke cedarwood sauna with both steam and dry heat, a games room with a pool table and darts, loan of table tennis table to go in the dining hall, unlimited Wi-Fi and dedicated 2-bed holistic therapy treatment room.

The owners of Horn Cote (Martin and Caroline) want your stay there to be as successful as you do, so they do everything they can to help make planning your group holiday or celebration in Yorkshire stress-free. They have been working with families and friends to help create special times for eight years and look forward to helping you arrange yours. Horn Cote is a Grade II listed 17th-Century building with oodles of character and charm. All the accommodation is in one big quirky sprawling house, with everything under one roof and no need to go outside to reach any of the rooms.

Downstairs:

Two separate living areas, both with 48" flatscreen televisions provide ample space for smaller groups of guests to separate for different activities or get together for fun film and game nights. As with every room at Horn Cote, the fixtures and furnishings are of a very high standard so that you and your guests will feel welcome and relaxed. The house also has three log burners to relax in front of.

Double height dining hall large enough to accommodate up to 70+ guests for a buffet meal or 40 for a seated banquet. The Hall also boasts an in-house Bluetooth disco and there is a smoke machine, laser lights and an excellent sound system.  A professional grade karaoke system can also be provided for a fee.

Farmhouse kitchen equipped with all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you will need to feed a full house including a professional range cooker with double electric ovens and many gas hobs. The kitchen opens onto a breakfast room, making this a sociable area where guests will naturally gravitate. A second, smaller kitchen leads off one of the downstairs bedroom suites - ideal for guests who need a midnight snack. The main kitchen has plenty of storage space and it is possible to have your groceries delivered on your arrival.

Games room with pool table and darts board, and access to a patio and outdoor seating area.

Utility room with space to store coats and wellies, as well as a washing machine, tumble dryer, 50 bottle wine cooler and WC.

Bedroom with zip-link beds that can be one king-sized or two single beds. There is also a double sofa bed that can sleep two additional adults. Ensuite with shower, WC and handbasin.

First Floor:

Master bedroom with a king-sized bed, dual aspect windows - a true master bedroom! There is room for 2 extra guest beds. The ensuite has a bath, walk-in shower, WC and handbasin.

Triple room with a double and a single bed. The ensuite has a shower, WC and handbasin.

Triple room with a double and single bed and a floor-to-ceiling window wall that overlooks the dining hall.

Family bathroom with a bath and hand shower, walk-in shower, WC and handbasin.

Superior bedroom with a king-sized bed and room for an extra single bed if required by arrangement. This room has a private balcony with garden furniture, as well as an ensuite with a luxurious whirlpool bath with a shower above, WC and handbasin.

Second Floor:

Dorm-style bedroom with four single beds - two of which can be zipped together to create a king-size bed.

Both of these second-floor two bedrooms are joined by a sweet little 4" fire door (children love this!) and both rooms have a staircase down to the 1st floor landing.

Outside: Horn Cote is surrounded by five acres of fields and woodland and offers a private and exclusive retreat. The courtyard is accessed from the hall and dining room and is a fantastic space for outdoor entertaining, sunbathing or al fresco dining.  The two gardens offer flat lawn space to hold activities like boot camp or archery classes, and a fabulous hot tub and sauna. Outdoor lighting and braziers mean the fun doesn't end when the sun goes down. There is lots of space to park up to 15 cars. Commercial grade Grande Kamado BBQ (charcoal available on site to purchase) -  the owners can arrange for someone to cook on the BBQ for you if you prefer.

We operate a live booking system and prices change periodically with demand and group size (min 12 – max 22). You may see prices increase or decrease depending on your chosen dates, length of stay and seasonal changes. Children are very welcome - Horn Cote is designed for them! Under 2’s in travel cot FOC.

Dogs: up to two well behaved dogs welcome by arrangement (fee applies).

Check-in 3.00pm / Check-out 10.00am: 10.00am early check-in / 5.00pm late check-out may be available at £30.00 pp for each (depending on bookings before and after).

We provide all bedding and supply a bath towel and hand towel for every guest for indoor use only.

The Farm is fully stocked with everything you need kitchen wise (crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, utensils, glassware - wine, champagne, tumblers - as well as non-breakable, reusable wine and champagne glasses for outside use).

Kitchen / bathroom essentials provided: washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets and hand-washing soap in kitchen; toilet paper and hand-soap in all bathrooms/toilets.

Logs and kindling for log burning stoves and BBQ charcoal available on site - please ask for price.
