About this property

Nestled in the town of Settle within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, is this superb old Victorian house. Inside, the property provides the very best of a modern decor, whilst still retaining some of its original period features such as exposed beams. Enter into the spacious sitting room where you can curl up with your loved ones and unwind into the evening whilst catching up with your favourite shows, while the gas woodburning stove provides that extra bit of warmth during those winter months. Walk through to the open-plan kitchen/diner resting towards the rear, housing everything you could need to rustle up a delicious meal for the whole family, to be enjoyed at the dining table over a well-deserved glass of wine. Upstairs, you will discover four well-presented bedrooms across two floors, with the first-floor offering a king-size and a children's bunk room, whilst the second-floor has a king-size and twin. Discover a first-floor bathroom and second-floor shower room with deluxe fixtures and fittings so you can enjoy a warm soak at the end of a tiring day. Take a refreshing drink out to the enclosed patio garden area of an evening to watch the sun set, or enjoy a spot of alfresco dining. While you're in the area, a must-see attraction is the Gordale Scar limestone ravine, which was created during the Ice Ages and has a footpath leading towards Malham Moor, where you can experience the best of both history and scenery. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is an excellent base for touring the very best of the countryside sites, with stunning and far-reaching views. The thriving market town of Settle is where you can find a wealth of independent shops and supermarkets for those shopping sprees and picking up any last-minute essentials. Also nearby are a range of pubs and restaurants for that fine dining experience, with some traditional Yorkshire ale to sample. Return to West View Cottage for a relaxing evening with your loved ones in front of the warming fire.

It's so spacious, the photos don't do it justice. From outside it looks tiny ,but it is like a TARDIS when you get inside!. Immaculately clean. Lovely touches everywhere. It is situated right in the town centre, so the cars were parked up and we didn't need to use them at all during our stay. Only comments are , a few more waste bins dotted about, and mirrors in the two twin rooms would be handy. These are really only a minor point. We were 8 girls and we had a great time.

Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Great for a family of friends get together.

In cold and frosty early winter (beautiful!) weather, the house was warm and cosy. It is well equipped and very comfortable, beautifully decorated. We loved being within close walking distance to the centre of Settle and so close to the beauty of the Dales. In fact we didn’t travel far to access stunning walks or bike rides. We found the mortice lock on the front door a little tricky and mainly used the back door. A more precise address would be helpful in the listing/confirmation ie including the street name not just the name of the terrace (although the street name was in the more detailed directions it would have helped to have it included in the property address)
