The sweeping staircase takes you to the first floor where a second spacious living area with a bar welcomes you, relax with a book, play games as a group or as the sun sets a drink or two on one of the three velvet sofas taking in the breathtaking views across Penyghent and Settle․ Gather at the bar and take turns preparing delicious pre-dinner cocktails! This floor offers two further bedrooms, one with an en-suite complete with a rainfall shower and original fireplace, the other having a four poster bed and access to the master bathroom of this floor. Venture to the second floor where you will find 3 more luxury super king bedrooms and a master bathroom․ Treat yourself to a soak in the free standing roll top bath in The Lynx Bedroom which has views across Settle or stargaze as the night draws in. The bustling market town of Settle lies at the south west rim of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, nestled beside the largest outcrop of limestone in Britain - a region of scars, cliffs, caves and potholes - amongst some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. Tuesday is market day in Settle, when the square is filled with stalls offering a wide variety of crafts and goods. The market place is surrounded by local businesses, the centre being dominated by The Shambles, an historic three storey building with shops on two levels and houses above, and the Town Hall. There is a good selection of restaurants and pubs and a public swimming pool. The Victoria Hall has entertainment and other activities such as folk nights throughout the year. The famous Settle-Carlisle Railway crosses some of the most beautiful and inspiring upland scenery in the country. Natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar are within easy reach, as are the nearby Dales towns of Skipton and Malham. Settle is in the midst of excellent walking country and is a good base for touring the Dales, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland.

The house is excellent for a large family get-together, with it's spacious bedrooms with large comfy beds, most with ensuite rooms which are ideal. There's a very modern kitchen downstairs with fantastic cooker/ fridge and an open plan dining area, whilst the upstairs chill out lounge has multiple large sofas with attached kitchenette with it's own fridge, sink & tea/coffee making facilities, great for the family get-togethers over snacks & drinks, party games and watching tv or listening to music. Some of us made good use of the hot tub x We didn't use the games room as it was a little cold which was stated on the information on the house that this would be the case when the weather was cold, although we would have used it in summer. All in all we loved our stay, the house is beautiful, would recommend it for a large party and would definitely like to return.
